Section 2: Niches

When it comes to creating a successful YouTube channel, one of the most important factors is
choosing the right niche. There are countless YouTube channels out there, covering everything
from makeup tutorials, top 10, history, and it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd. So,
how do you choose the right YouTube niche for your automated channel?

One approach is to look at your interests and passions.

• What are you passionate about?

• What are you an expert on?

o Do you have any expertise or interest in the topic?

It will be more enjoyable to make videos about something you're passionate about, and viewers
can tell if you're genuine in your interest. Plus, having some prior knowledge will make it easier
to produce high-quality content.

These are both great starting points for finding a YouTube niche that you can excel in. If you're
passionate about a topic, you'll be more likely to stick with it, and if you're an expert on
something, you'll be able to provide valuable content that people are searching for or have
interest in watching.

Another approach is to look at what's popular on YouTube.

• What types of videos are getting the most views?

• What topics are people talking about?

You can use YouTube's search function to get an idea of what's popular, or you can look at a
google trend reports. Once you have an idea of what's popular on YouTube, you can start to
narrow down your options and find a niche that you think you could excel in.

How do you pick the right nice for you?

Here are some things to consider:

• How much competition is there in the niche?

o If there are already a lot of people doing YouTube videos on the same topic, it
might be hard to stand out. But if the niche is relatively small, you might have an
easier time getting noticed.

(Competition on YouTube isn’t always a bad thing you can find an untapped market as your
competitors videos will began suggesting your videos)
• Is the niche likely to be popular in the future or have a big enough audience? You don't
want to pick a niche that's on its way out or has a small audience. Try to choose
something with staying power that will still be popular when your videos are released.

Keep these things in mind when choosing a YouTube niche, and you'll be on your way to
success!

REMEMBER to do your research before picking a niche, make sure you have an idea of what
your CPM or RPM will look at per 1000 views. The average on YouTube is between $2 - $5 per
1000 views.

And make sure there is an audience for it on YouTube, something like sewing, quilting, knitting
will have a much lower audience then golf, baking, history etc

Here are a few more things that determine your CPM and RPM

• Country your YouTube channel is created in

• Country your videos are being played in
o Top tier (Canada, USA, England, Australia) will have a higher CPM then Thailand,
Philippines
• How much advertiser or markets are willing to spend in that niche for certain keywords
(stocks, Shopify, email marketing, lawyer, accountant) are all high CPM keywords
