To our exuberant school director, Rev. Fr.

Albert Delvo, supportive finance officer,

_______________________, hardworking faculty and staff, valued parents and guardians,
beloved learners, a pleasant good afternoon/goodmorning/good evening to all of you, and
welcome to our celebration tonight.

Twenty-two years ago, San Isidro Catholic School was established as an academic institution in
response to the call of the Church to not only impart the necessary knowledge to our young
people but more to form them to become like Christ, who is a model of servant leadership.

This year, we set our theme as "We Walk, We Rise, We Overcome with Christ'. It is a reflection
of the fruitful years of SILCS as a community working in the vineyard of the Lord, teaching our
young people about faith, and guiding them toward the fullness of life.

Becoming SILCS today was not an easy path. Time and time again, we stumbled from one
conflict to another. We faced so many life’s challenges. But in spite of all these, faith kept us
grounded, and the lyrics of a Christian song state, we walk by faith, not by sight. Faith in the
Lord kept us together. Indeed, walking by faith leads us to what we are today, a strong,
innovative, and growing community.

Today’s celebration is a mark of triumph for our community against the biggest threat that the
world has to face, the COVID pandemic, which led to a financial crisis, limited contacts, and
many cases of mental health issues among our young people. Truly, we experienced fear and
hopelessness.

But we did not falter; instead, we looked for ways to reach out to our beloved learners, we
worked hard to learn new ways to continue giving quality education and meaningful Catholic
formation, and most of all, we pressed forward and became innovative to meet the demands of
the new normal head on.

Armed with prayer and passion for our teaching vocation, we have risen from the snares of
death and hopelessness. Like the Risen Lord, standing here tonight, celebrating our years of
service and commitment, is a sign of triumph against the monster called COVID- 19.

Finally, our celebration, which culminates tonight, is a message to all our stakeholders that San
Isidro Labrador Catholic School is here to stay despite any circumstances. Our school, will
continue serving and honing young people in the coming years, and with faith and trust, we are
holding on to that assurance as we face the challenges and obstacles ahead, which we will
overcome with Christ!

And we invite you to be with us on this journey towards academic excellence and making our
young people authentic Christians in the world today. Together, we walk, we rise, and we
overcome with Christ.

Thank you, and God bless us all.
