The Merchant of Venice

William Shakespeare
The main characters of the story are: Shylock, Portia, Bassanio,
Antonio, to name a few. The characters are very well described
and force the reader to love them.
In the Merchant of Venice, Bassanio has some financial troubles.
His friend borrows money from Shylock, a Jewish moneylender,
but is imprisoned when he can't pay his debt. Then, variety of
events take place. At the end of the play, that friend is released,
and Shylock is forced to convert to Christianity.
It’s really an amazing piece of work by William Shakespeare, as
usual. It teaches us life lessons as follows: Love blinds you in
both good way and bad way. Everyone is a human being and
should be treated as such.
I highly recommend this book, especially to the young
generation.
