Performance Reports

Communication
 Status Report: states where the project stands now. Can
Management use earned value analysis as preparation for these
reports.
 Progress Report: states what has been accomplished. CPI
and SPI can be used here as well as showing task /
activity accomplishments
 Forecasting Report: predicts future status and progress.
CV, ETC, and EAC computations can be used

 Plans, details of complex problems, contracts, charters, agreements, high level meeting notes, reports are types of formal
written
 Presentations to groups, speeches, presentations to upper management and sponsors are types of formal verbal
 Notes, emails, simple meeting notes, memos are types of informal written
 General meetings such as daily status updates, general conversations are types of informal verbal
 The characteristic of this document is to decide who, what and when the information will be sent: communication
management plan
 Administrative closure is the formal acceptance (scope verification) after each phase or project completion
 Inputs of administrative closure are: performance measurement documentation, product documentation and other project
records
 Outputs of administrative closure are: project archives, project closure and lessons learned
