I attended Greencastle-Antrim High School in Greencastle, PA. There I graduated with a 4.2 GPA and in the top
35 in my class of over 200. I was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as our school’s Peer Leaders
team, Student Counsel, and Young Life.
Collegiate Career: Secondary Math Education Degree / May 2023
I am a senior Secondary Math Education major at Geneva College with a 3.34 GPA. At Geneva I am a captain
on the varsity basketball team as well as a member of the golf team. I am also on the leadership team for
Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Geneva.
Work Experience:
• Geneva College
Math Tutor / August 2020 – December 2022
I have tutored students in math courses such as algebra, statistics, trigonometry, and calculus in both one-to-one
as well as group settings.
• New Brighton Middle School
Long-term Substitute Teacher for Middle Mathematics from January 2023 – Present
During my student teaching, I was emergency certified as a long-term substitute to fill the need. My duties
included that of a normal long-term substitute regarding grading, teaching, communicating out to parents and
colleagues, and building meaningful, intentional relationships with the students. I also completed extensive
lesson plans and reflections for each class.
• Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe
3rd Shift Laborer / Summers from April 2020 – August 2022
I was a night shift laborer who worked together with others in the preparing and baking process for a large bread
and roll company.
• Moss Springs Swim Club
Head Lifeguard / Summers from May 2016 – August 2022
I worked as a head lifeguard, taught group, as well as private swim lessons, and opened and closed the facility at
the beginning and end of each summer. Day in and day out I was in charge of patrons at the swim club as well as
my fellow lifeguards to ensure safety for all.
• UMPC Pittsburg Penguins
Night Shift Janitor / Fall from September 2019 – December 2019
I worked as a janitor at the Pittsburg Penguins facility in Cranberry, PA to help pay for college. My role was to
work with others on coordinating cleanup from the day and setup for the following morning.
Awards and Acknowledgements:
I have completed the final two years of college as a Noyce Scholarship Foundation scholar. I am also a dean’s
list student as well as appearing on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honor Court for my work on
the court and in the classroom.
Volunteering:
Before going to college, I had volunteered for church events such as good news club, summer fun days, and
missions trips to both Kentucky and Costa Rica where we went into schools and kids camps to work with them.
Since coming to college I have worked with the Special Olympics and Tiger Pause, Beaver Falls food drive, as
well as numerous events at the college (Cokes and Connections, Chapel, Steam Night, etc.).
