EDITORIAL

This month sees the first report concerning what occurred when the Phenomena Project in the
form of Don Phillips and Steve Mera paid its first visit overseas, in this case to Bothell, which is a
suburb of Seattle in the good old U.S.A. Although Don and Steve had originally gone to investigate
the goings on at the home of one of Bothell’s residents; they inadvertently became involved in a
potentially much more alarming (and possibly deadly) encounter. What occurred will be revealed
in the next issue and I can assure you that it makes for fascinating, if a little worrying, reading; be
sure to keep the lights on! Apart from that The Project continues to forge ahead with more valu‐
able information being gathered all the time. Mr Nick Kyle, who heads up the Scottish Society For
Psychical Research (SSPR), is now on board as an independent observer, so the team is getting
stronger all the time. Soon those who continue to deny the reality of other states of existence are
going to have to take cover, because the truth is closer than they think.

photo. As a practice of investigation whilst
walking around a location he often will
record a two second video, followed by an
immediate photograph, it’s rather like mak‐
ing a visual diary. However, on rare occa‐
sions the photo mysteriously differs from
the video footage. Though he has only ever
come across this four times during his thirty
three years as an investigator, it would
seem that Keith’s house was one such occa‐
sion. The photograph below is a snapshot
from the video, taken at the top of the
stairs looking down into the front room.
There is only one light source and that is
from a lamp situated in the far corner of
the front room casting shadows at an angle
of approximately 45 degrees. The second
photograph is a snapshot taken immedi‐
ately after the two second video. You can
clearly see what looks like a shadow on the
wall as if cast by an unseen person. In fact,
Steve recalls that only he was in that loca‐
tion and for that to occur, someone would
have been visible in‐shot to cast such a
shadow, which strangely, is not at a 45 de‐
gree angle like others. Steve cannot find
any explanation for the phantom shadow...

Fox News requested a two minute clip from
Don regarding some of the captured evi‐
dence, which was shown throughout the
Fox News network. It went viral in the first
48 hours, causing quite a stir and an influx
of almost five million views. Steve will be
releasing a report on their findings shortly,
which will include further details pertaining
to witnessed phenomena. Some of which
consist of three different incidents of physi‐
cal phenomena, three accounts of in air
vocal sounds, research findings and much
more. The disturbances at Keith house con‐

dedicated article each month. I hope you enjoy reading the first article, and will stay tuned for future ones!

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP)
With special guests Tom & Lisa Butler

Do you believe in life after death? Have you ever heard the voice of spirit? Both Tom and Lisa But‐
ler have and they have been recording the voices of spirit for well over two decades. They joined
me on Let’s Talk Paranormal to prove that there really is no death and there are no dead.

Tom and Lisa Butler are the Directors of the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA‐EVP) and publish a quarterly news journal for associa‐
tion members around the world. The AAEVP is a nonprofit association that is dedicated to the study of EVP and ITC (Instrumental Trans Communication), and
to helping people learn how to collect examples of these phenomena for themselves. The focus of the AA‐EVP is to provide objective evidence that we survive
death in an individual conscious state. In their book about the evidence for personal survival through EVP and ITC titled ‐ There is No Death and There are No
Dead, Tom and Lisa share EVP and ITC history, stories and examples. They also provide an overview of the latest knowledge in this field and describe tech‐
niques for using these phenomena to establish communication with the other side. As our show began, I asked Lisa to explain what EVP was all about, espe‐
cially for the viewers at home who had no idea of what Electronic Voice Phenomena actually is. She explained that it’s the recording of paranormal voices
using any type of recording media device, and of which are not usually heard until the device or tape recording is played back. Lisa went on to say that re‐
cording spirit voices has actually been in existence for a very long time, and that she began to experiment with recording voices typically using a cassette re‐
corder, but explained to me that also at that time both she and members of her and Tom’s EVP group had surprisingly received spirit voices on their answering
machines, as voice mail!

Lisa explained that it was a very interesting happening how she captured her first EVP. Both she and Tom decided that they would record everyday for seven
days and at the same time, and would just give it a try to see what would happen. As both Lisa and Tom were corporate workers and had very busy schedules,
they decided to start their experiment on a Thursday and by Saturday morning as Lisa awakened, she immediately had a thought to place crystals around the
recording device, but immediately rejected the thought as she decided it was a silly idea, and went about her day. But the thought was so intense and kept
occurring almost obsessively that she decided to go ahead and place them around the recording device after all.

The crystals were just small ones that she had lying around the house. This was her third experi‐
ment at the time, and when both she and Tom played the recording back, they struck gold!
There was a spirit voice on the machine that they distinctly heard say “Crystals help!” Lisa was
totally stunned at hearing this message and continuously kept thinking about it that she could
not sleep for the next few nights! She was extremely excited to hear this voice come through
and said that when you hear something like this it completely changes your reality so much, and
said that she began to ask herself questions “What is that voice” and “why is it there”. I asked
Tom if he had been skeptical at any point throughout the experimentation. He explained that
although being a good engineer, he did have his doubts at first and that for most people the idea
of recording deceased people’s voices on electronic equipment is perhaps thought of as a little
over the top; but having studied metaphysics for years prior to doing this experiment, what he
had learned afterwards from doing it was that other people from around the world were in fact
also recording these voices and that it wasn’t just one person with a bright idea doing it, and
that many people were trying it for themselves.

Tom went on to say that it took quite a while for himself to hear the voices and that it is somewhat of an acquired skill to achieve. However, he was finally able
to recognize noises being modulated and that there was definitely somebody there talking, and yet still questioned the fact that the voice being heard should
not be there. He gave an example of a very distinct and meaningful recording where a woman’s voice was heard speaking; a beautiful feminine sounding voice
and a very meaningful phrase which said “release and remember.” This had been in conjunction with asking a question out loud to spirit, if he and Lisa should
have saved a baby bird that had fallen from it’s mother’s nest. They had been very concerned about it at the time, and after asking the question and receiving
the recorded message they were convinced of what they had heard, and that it was a very profound statement for spirit to have made. I asked the question
regarding the range of voices that they had recorded over the years. Lisa said that they had recorded both male and female voices, children’s voices also, as
well as elderly people, and that when this happens you can most definitely hear that the voice is a much older one. Occasionally, Lisa and Tom are questioned
by the skeptics regarding their EVP work and that what they are in fact recording are voices from various sources such as radio waves, cell phones or even TV.
But Lisa pointed out to me that several experiments have indeed been done which have screened out all of these possibilities for various types of waves, and
that the EVPs have still continually been recorded and that there’s just no scientific explanation as to why the voices are being picked up on these media de‐
vices.

I asked my guests about the possibility of recording the sounds of animals as an EVP, to which Lisa and Tom said that from time to time they have in fact re‐
corded animal spirit voices, where they have heard the EVP clearly as a “barking” sound in the background, and what is interesting to note is that especially
when they have known that this particular animal had passed on to the other side, and that they heard an entity or spirit making a statement such as “Here’s
Toby”...then a very clear “bark bark” is heard in the background, Tom and Lisa actually wonder just how intelligent these animals really are! The question was
raised to Lisa and Tom, that it’s true to say that when we cross over we no longer have a physical voice box, so how is it possible that spirit are able to come
through and give messages in the way that they do, most often times being very clear messages. How does this work?

Tom went on to say that some of his co‐workers that reside in Italy, have researched this quite considerably and in analyzing the voices, they have discovered
that they are not seeing the fundamental frequency of the voice box in the frequencies themselves, but rather what they can see instead is the “available
noise” similar to what they call a “thickening” of the noise to form the voice, so it is very definitely phenomenal and because we do not have that fundamen‐
tal frequency, sometimes it’s difficult to understand and to hear a word that to one person sounds very clear, and yet to another person they are not sure
what the words are saying, and it can make things complicated, but definitely a paranormal voice is heard. I then asked Lisa and Tom why they thought it is
easier for some discarnate souls to come through more than others?

Lisa said that she did not know the answer, but that possibly the lack of connection or non inter‐
est to come through might be because the spirit may just want to explore the other side and has
no interest in connecting with the physical realm. She explained to me that she initially wanted to
experiment with EVPs because she wanted to hear from her father who had crossed over, and
with Tom being an engineer she thought that he would want to connect with them in this way,
but her father had not made contact using this method at that time. Instead, she would have
dreams about her father and very vivid ones where he told her that after he crossed he was do‐
ing okay. It was Lisa’s mother who in fact had a different religion and was never aware of the fact
that Tom and Lisa experimented with EVPs, and that if she had ever found out about it may have
otherwise said that Lisa would be “going to hell” for getting involved with it! But two years after
Lisa’s mother had died, her mother did actually come through as an EVP at the end of a recording
experiment.

Lisa said that even though spirit do not have a voice box, the voice is still fully recognizable and that it is so very fascinating, and that there is so much that we
still do not know about the survival of the consciousness after death. Very often people will say to Lisa for example “that is the voice of my child that I hear,”
and that it is the very same voice even though that person is no longer alive, and that’s it’s a very distinctive voice being heard. Tom made an interesting point
in that, just like we have the Michael Jordan’s of the athletic world, we also have Michael Jordan’s of the EVP world and that when we cross over to the other
side some of us are going to be better at managing the energy to communicate back, and some of us are not. I added to the conversation that the personality
of a person perhaps plays a role in whether or not they manage their ability to communicate, in which Tom agreed that indeed both the personality and the
desire plays a role in this. Throughout the show, Lisa and Tom played many EVP examples which were extremely clear and distinct! A few of them are men‐
tioned here as examples. One of which was of a gentleman’s voice that came through and said that his name was “Jason.” This young man had fallen to his
death from a ladder into a pool, and Lisa and Tom were trying to find out his name. In the recording, we heard Lisa asking “Can you tell us your name?” Then
the young man’s voice can be heard replying “Jason.”

The second EVP example was a recording that Lisa and Tom had experimented with at the Winchester Mystery House, and at the time they really didn’t ex‐
pect that they would capture an EVP because there were many people visiting that day, and that the house itself attracts mass crowds of people passing
through daily. But sure enough they did capture an EVP, outside of the bedroom in which Sarah Winchester had died. In the recording you can clear hear a
male’s voice saying “It’s not redemption.”

A third recording was played. This example had been recorded in the seance room where Sarah Winchester a Spiritualist, apparently held seances. When the
tour guide took Lisa and Tom into the séance room to show them around, an EVP was indeed captured and believed to be the voice of Sarah Winchester her‐
self. Inside this room the tour guide showed Lisa and Tom three other doors. Two of which were regular doors but had only the one lock on one side of the
door. Another door on the opposite side of the room was also a regular door, but if you stepped out of it you would fall eighteen feet to the ground. The EVP
heard clearly recorded the voice of a little old lady saying “You should never step out.”

Another intriguing EVP was heard giving a message from a mom’s “coffee pot!” Such a different method from what we know of EVPs being recorded elec‐
tronically. But, if spirit wish to give you a message they will find any means in which to do so to relay that message. I asked Lisa and Tom that for anyone at
home watching the show and wanted to try this for themselves, what should they do? Lisa made a few suggestions and pointers to help:

Take anything that records and that it does not need to be an expensive piece of equipment, until you perhaps want to focus on recording EVPs seriously.

You can use cassette recorders, computers, a small hand digital note taker also.

Keep your recording short and no more than five minutes long.

Ask three or four questions and leave space for spirit to speak to you.

It’s important to note that you do not have to have physic abilities to attract an EVP, and that anyone in fact can do this for themselves.

March 8 - Jupiter at Opposition. The giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than
any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. This is the best time to view and photograph Jupiter and its moons. A medium-sized telescope
should be able to show you some of the details in Jupiter's cloud bands. A good pair of binoculars should allow you to see Jupiter's four largest moons, ap-
pearing as bright dots on either side of the planet.

This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere.
March 9 - Total Solar Eclipse. A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely blocks the Sun, revealing the Sun's beautiful outer atmosphere known
as the corona. The path of totality will only be visible in parts of central Indonesia and the Pacific Ocean. A partial eclipse will be visible in most parts of north-

March 20 - March Equinox. The March equinox occurs at 04:30 UTC. The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day
and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of spring (vernal equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of fall (autumnal
equinox) in the Southern Hemisphere.
March 23 - Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of
the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This
phase occurs at 12:02 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native
American tribes as the Full Worm Moon because this was the time
of year when the ground would begin to soften and the earthworms
would reappear. This moon has also been known as the Full
Crow Moon, the Full Crust Moon, the Full Sap Moon, and the
Lenten Moon.
March 23 - Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. A penumbral lunar eclipse

occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth's partial shadow,
or penumbra. During this type of eclipse the Moon will darken
slightly but not completely. The eclipse will be visible throughout
most of extreme eastern Asia, eastern Australia, the Pacific Ocean,
and the west coast of North America including Alaska.

This is an interesting diary/journal of life aboard the 'Hesperus' sailing ship, through the eyes of one of its paying passengers, on
the three to four month voyage to Australia from Britain and back. Also included is an interesting account of the two months he
spent in the late nineteenth century cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. This is a fascinating view into the mind and out‐
look of a Victorian doctor and his reactions to circumstances, conditions and morals of the time, given through the 'Facebook' or
'Twitter' equivalent of that period :‐ a written daily journal.

Some of the entries are charming; such as the accounts of on board entertainment, while others are quite cruel and disturbing as descriptions of luring sea
birds to an untimely fate and his evident bewilderment when a "black woman" refuses to sell him her four year old child whom he had found "a jolly little
child". If you would enjoy an easy to read and interesting glimpse of a Victorian voyage and accompanying personal insights, give it a go.

Although in one sense this splendidly produced and abundantly illustrated book could be classified as an alternative travel guide,
it is considerably more than that. Although probably best known for its wine and food, France is of course the birthplace of vari‐
ous strand of belief both conventional and heretical and this has left its mark on the country in a myriad of ways. The book, which
is an absolute joy to read and has production values that are second to none, is packed full of fascinating information on a range
of mystical and truly magical subjects. Everything from the Knights Templar and the Cathars to imposing structures like the cathe‐
drals of Notre Dame and Chartres and the ancient and enigmatic megaliths at Carnac as well, all are discussed here.

Along with these we find the legends surrounding Mary Magdalene and Nostradamus, Fulcanelli and alchemy, and especially the ongoing mystery of Rennes
le Chateau and what did or did not happen there. It even has a travel guide section to help you create your own travel itinerary.

One particularly enjoyable facet of the book is the fact that the reader can literally dip in anywhere and be sure to unearth a nugget of information. If one is

As someone who has dedicated her life to patient care and based upon what she has seen, the author of this book is, like many
medial professionals before her, admirably qualified to discuss the subject of Near Death Experience, (NDE). The author is also
quick to point out that NDE’s and the similar phenomenon of Out of Body Experience, (OBE), although apparently sharing some of
the key elements are not the same thing.

The book deals with the subject in a series of chapters and in the course of this it becomes clear the not all NDE’s are necessarily
pleasant and some can be distressing.

Other fascinating chapters look at the elements of the NDE, i.e. what are the Characteristics of an NDE, and are there different types? Are all NDE experi‐
ences pleasant, or, as already alluded to, can some be distressing? Who has NDEs and under what circumstances do they occur? How do they affect the
people who have them, and how can this change their lives? How can NDEs be scientifically explained or are they just hallucinations cause by chemical
changes in the brain? Can we learn from NDEs, can they change our attitude to life and death?

Overall, while this aspect of the paranormal has many similar contributions, this new book has such a genuine feeling of compassion and offers the comfort‐
ing possibility that there really is ‘something else’ out there waiting for us, that it really does deserve to be read and appreciated.

Unexplained sheep attacks 'caused by
aliens in UFOs', farmers claim
Farmers near Shrewsbury claim to have witnessed sheep being “lasered” by unidentified light
from UFOs. They have linked the unexplained incidents, where sheep’s brains and eyes were
removed, to the mysterious orange lights in the sky. They have found sheep with “neat holes”
while their brains and other internal organs were removed. Other animals have lost eyes or had
their flesh “carefully stripped away”, usually on the left side.
Phil Hoyle, 53, who has spent almost a decade investigating how the livestock have died, said the
UFOs were found to have roamed a 50‐mile "corridor" between Shrewsbury and Powys. Mr
Hoyle and 15 members of the Animal Pathology Field Unit, claimed they witnessed UFOs at work
last month while working during the night at a Welsh hill farm near Radnor Forest. “The technol‐
ogy involved in these attacks is frightening,” he told The Sun. “These lights and spheres are
clearly not ours. “They are built by technology and intelligence that's not from here.” He added:
“For a short while it looked more like a Star Wars battle.”

Easter Island Civilization Not Destroyed by Mass UFO Sighting With Dozens of
War, New Evidence Shows Unimpeachable Witnesses

Fifty years ago today, reports of Unidentified Flying Objects swarmed over Michigan. Headlines
screamed from the pages of newspapers. Reporters headed to a swamp near Dexter and to a
girls’ dorm at Hillsdale College. The witnesses were not few and far‐between. The people who
said they saw these things included law enforcement officers and college officials. The U.S. Air
Force sent in an expert from its Project Blue Book program, which investigated UFO reports
from 1952 to 1969. After a short time visiting and talking to witnesses, J. Allen Hynek declared
that what everyone had seen was not some alien invasion, but swamp gas. In articles from back
then, swamp gas was described as methane emissions from decaying vegetation, which can
ignite spontaneously. Some people had a hard time swallowing that theory. One of them is
Harry Willnus of South Lyon, a retired high school teacher and UFO enthusiast. Willnus, who was
not a witness but has researched the Swamp Gas Case, sat with me last week to revisit those
events of 50 years ago. One more thing. If you think people didn’t take this seriously back then,
know this: A congressman from Michigan called for congressional hearings on the Michigan UFO
sightings.

Thousands of small, sharp, spearlike objects scattered throughout Easter Island have
long been presumed to be evidence of massive warfare that led to the demise of its
ancient civilization. But new evidence from archaeological investigations suggests
that these objects, called mata'a, were not used as weapons at all. Easter Island is a
tiny landmass located about 2,300 miles (3,700 kilometers) off the coast of Chile. The
remote volcanic island, also known as Rapa Nui, has been at the center of fierce
debates in both academia and popular culture. Polynesians first arrived on the island
in the 13th century, and Rapa Nui’s early inhabitants were famous for the enormous
stone statues (called moai) that they built and placed on the coastline. More than
900 of these majestic statues were found on the island — so many that scholars have
argued that there must have been tens of thousands of residents on Easter Island at
one point — but so far, scientists and historians have not been able to agree on what

Island] Popular belief held that massive internal warfare led to the population’s
catastrophic collapse. This grim outcome became a cautionary tale of the overuse of
limited resources and eventual self‐destruction. But, in the past decade or so, this
understanding has been challenged by archaeologists whose research points to a
different story — in which disease and slavery introduced by Europeans were the
more likely cause of the Polynesian society’s decline. By carefully examining more
than 400 mata'a, collecting photographs and analyzing their shape using a technique
known as morphometric analysis, researchers have added new evidence to this line
of thinking. “The mata'a have lots of different shapes,” said lead study author Carl
Lipo, an anthropologist at Binghamton University in New York. “Some of them are
roundish, some of them are square and some are kind of triangular. The mata'a
would not have made good weapons, Lipo said. For one, they are not sharp, and not Mr. Willnus, can you set the scene for me? Fifty years ago today, what did people report in a

close to the windows of the dorm, scared the girls. And then the police would be called, object
would leave, police would leave, eventually the object would come back. Back to the swamp in
Dexter. … This wasn’t just a man and his son out in the countryside after drinking a bunch of
moonshine or something and seeing visions. Real, credible people, including sheriff’s deputies,

is a genuine whistleblower or an intelligence operative spreading disinformation?

This is an absolutely magnificent action spectacle absolutely dazzles in its portrayal of a Roman Legion fighting in Ancient China
using methods never seen before in that country. Enter The Silk Road Protection Squad, who are tasked with stopping battles
and promoting peace. Following the predicable battles, which are typical of a Chinese made production, i.e. a bit surreal, the
Roman legion is asked to use its superior engineering skills to assist in the building of a city, which it duly does.

However, the commander of the legion reveals that he is fleeing from the corrupt Consul Tiberius who murdered the father of his friend. The grateful Chi‐
nese agree to help the legion fight the consul and his thousands of soldiers. The set‐piece battle scenes are spectacular and worth the price of the DVD
alone. No spoilers here, but the production takes a bit of getting used to as it resembles a very expensive example of the kind of Kung Fu films that were
popular several years ago, mind you Jackie Chan is still very good at what he does so it’s still enjoyable.

This new film is an action thriller and for a change is mainly set on the streets of Cape Town in South Africa. It opens with a dia‐
mond heist that goes badly wrong, (the disguises the gang uses in the heist are bit special, (like something out of ‘Call of Duty
Black Ops 3’) leaving one of the main characters played by Olga Kurylenko, who witness the murder of a senator, to run for her
life pursued by the calculating and psychopathic Mr Washington played by a icily efficient James Purefoy. It would be fair to say
that the film consists of series of spectacular set‐pieces comprising a mixture of thrilling car chases and bloody shoot outs.

There are several interesting moments, with Purefoy, Kurylenko and their henchmen blazing a trail of mayhem and destruction across the screen. Freeman
only appears a couple of times in little more than cameos, never mind though, for the action fan there is plenty to enjoy.

Well if a franchise is successful, (in this case zombies), then why not dish out more of the same? To be honest the title pretty
much tells it all with a squad of U.S. Navy Seals battling hoards of zombies in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. What transpires is a splatter
‐fest of blood and carnage as the elite soldiers fight their way into a building in Baton Rouge to rescue the a rather wimpish US
vice‐president and his entourage who just happened to be visiting when the zombies ran amok. This time is seems that the US
government had been operating a black project trying to weaponise individuals by developing a serum to turn them into raging,
almost unstoppable mindless killers.

However, as is often the way all did not go to plan. Predictably, in line with other examples of the genre, being bitten is a sure‐fire way to become one and
yes, shooting in the head is the only effective way of neutralising them. Fortunately it’s also entertaining in a sort of curry and a six pack of beer kind of way.

If you liked ‘The Walking Dead’, or ‘Z Nation’, you will probably like this and there are worse ways to spend a couple of hours.
