    a.) Create a five minute oral presentation on a topic that you feel strongly about. 
    Your presentation can be persuasive, informative, or both.  You can open with an
    anecdote, if you wish, but your presentation should contain some factual and
    statistical information as well. What matters is that you are knowledgeable about
    your topic and able to present with enthusiasm.  You may use notes during your
    presentation, but reading from a script is unacceptable. 

    Examples: 

     Why you should adopt a dog instead of buying one from a breeder or pet
    shop
     Is social media distorting our self-image?
     Tips for creating an effective social media presence for your small business
     The value of participating in sports

    You will present to the class, and your classmates and teacher will use the oral
    presentation rubric to give you helpful feedback on your presentation.
