One of the biggest changes about starting college is living a dorm life.
A year ago, I was lying
in the sofa at home, looking for the perfect curtain for my bed-to-be and imagining my future dormmates. And now, here I am, telling you about my life living in the best dorm I could ever dream about. The first great thing about my dorm is that due to the accommodation, my dormmates turned out to be not only Nanjing girls like me, but also my high school friends. Many months later, we suddenly realized that we didn’t even go through a so-called break-in period. No taking time to adjust to each other’s schedules, no quarrels or even displeasure. Everything just worked out between us. Every time I return to my dorm, it feels like returning home. What’s more, I have decorated my corner of the dorm into my own cozy space. I put selfies with my friends and some cute postcards on the wall in front of my desk to keep me in a good mood when I’m studying. I also put up a huge photo wall with warm yellow light hanging beside my bed, and I love to look at my favorite photos for a while everyday before I sleep. When I’m in my dorm, I am always pleasantly surrounded by the happy memories. My dorm is everything that I’ve pictured it should be. I treasure every moment I spend in it.
