About Us

We at Mitt Arv (www.mittarv.com) are working on normalizing talking about the one sure shot event in
everyone’s life – death. Death is certain but the timing is uncertain. People do not plan for death and live
as if tomorrow is forever, which makes them not plan for their assets and they also fail to create a financial
will. An even immediate problem is that the family and loved ones are not aware of assets held by an
individual which often end up being unclaimed assets (by certain estimates, India has more than 80,000
Crore rupees of unclaimed money). The only industry which has really cracked this is Insurance – that too
not to the best extent.

Our north star goal is to be a provider of technology products to help people plan for death and become
a marketplace for products around that especially those which require human interface (for example
insurance claim assistance etc)

We are a fully bootstrapped startup with the founder working in big tech and based in Singapore. We are
headquartered in Singapore with development centre in India.

We are looking for Software Engineering Interns able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week for a
period of 6 months++ (We can keep you as an intern till you complete your graduation). Our preference is
going to be students who have at least 9 months to finish their graduation. We are also open to hire interns
who are looking to switch or restart their careers.

Process & Submission Guidelines

We heavily rely on processes and guidelines as we work remotely. One core aspect of any good
Engineering team is to understand the requirements, so please go through the below requirements
thoroughly. Any major miss in complying to the guidelines for submission, subject of email etc will
automatically disqualify your application.

Your submissions for the assignment details laid out below should be sent via email to
vishal@mittarv.com with the following guidelines

o Email Subject: “<Your Name> - Application for SDE Intern role for Cohort Q2 2023”
o All submissions must be in form of attachment. For submission of coding part of assignment,
it is mandatory to share the Github Link. You can post the Github link in body of email OR as
part of the attachment itself. Please ensure you double check access privileges for the Github
source code link.
o Each attachment should have a filename “<Your Name> - SDE Intern Assignment Attachment
<x> of <y>”
o Note: All content in the body of the email except for Github source code link will be ignored.
We will focus only on Attachments & Subject line other than that.
Cohort Based Hiring:

To simplify onboarding and training, we are introducing Cohort based hiring where we will hire interns
across different teams (Software Engineering, Product Management, UI / UX, Content & Digital
Marketing etc). This cohort will start on 1st April, and it is mandatory for you to join us, if selected, on 1st
April 2023 (Virtual Onboarding).

Our Stipend Structure:

Our Tech stipend structure is competitive, yet uniquely designed. You will learn more about sprints etc
during your Internship ‘Training Period’ which will last for a minimum of 6 weeks and maximum of 12,
depending on your own skillset, dedication, speed, performance and abilities. If you are unable to
complete your Internship ‘Training Period’ within the 12 weeks (3 months), we will not be able to continue
with you as an intern thereafter.

With this in view, the following is our detail of Stipend Structure at different Internship levels.

* Quarterly Bonus will be calculated on calendar quarter basis (prorated if you complete your training before start of
quarter). It will be in range of 60% to 150% based on performance (100% for at par performance). E.g., at 100%
performance, a level 3 intern will get an additional 25% of quarterly stipend as bonus during end of quarter payroll
which is 9,000 (assuming full participation in all 3 months).

** The levels defined here are at time of joining and post training completion. After that, level promotion can happen
independent of criteria mentioned above, purely based on performance at a minimum period of 2 months from last
promotion.
Assignment Details

1. Highlight through any means what interests you in this role and working for Mitt Arv (PDF, PPT, Word,
Paint, Video, Audio, anything you prefer)

2. Design, Develop and showcase a Flutter project which can handle the following:

 Create a simple profile page (name, age, gender, country, hobbies are minimum fields) with
validations which you think are necessary.
 Allow users to post articles in rich text format.
 Data must be retained if the application is restarted.

Guidelines:

 Flutter is supposed to be used for this assignment. If you have some code expertise, basic
Flutter can be easily learnt
 You are not allowed to use any demo / paid libraries.
 ChatGPT for generating code is strictly not allowed. It isn’t difficult to identify if you have
utilized ChatGPT.

 You can use the following Optional components for brownie points (not mandatory),

o Consume any external services.

o Storing / retrieving information from any database (you will need to share the DB
Credentials in this case for the review purposes)

The Submission:

Share the URL for the code in your personal GitHub repository. Following aspects to be
mandatorily noted:

a. There must not be any build exception.

b. All warnings must be addressed.
c. Code must be checked-in from your GitHub account.
