Physics is quantitative science, where we measures various physicals quantities

during experiments.
In our day to day life,we need to measure a number of quantities,eg., size of
objects,volume of liquids
amount of matters, weight of vegetable or fruits, body temparature, lenght of
cloth ,etc .A international
always unit which is international accepted .For example ,for measuring the mass
of a given fruit we need
standards mass units. The measures quantity is express in terms of a number followed
by a corresponding units
the length of a wire is written as 5 m where (meter)is the unit and 5 is the value
of measured in different
units eg.length in meter (m)time in second (s),mass in kilogram (kg),etc. The
standards measures of any quantity
is called the units of that quantity .
SYSTEM OF UNITS:
In our earlier standards we have come across various system of units namely
(i)CGS:Centimeter Gram Second system
(ii)MKS:Meter Kilogram Second system
(iii)FPS:Foot Pound Second system
SI:System International
The First three system namely CGS,MKS and FPS were used extensively till
recently.In 1971,the 14th International general
Conference on weigths and measures recommended the use of International general
