1. Let ABC be a triangle and D be a point on the segment BC such that DC = 2BD. E is the mid-point
of AC. Let AD and BE intersect at P. Determine the ratios BP/PE and AP/PD.

2. Let X = {1, 2, 3, . . . . , 10}. Find the number of pairs {A, B} such that A ⊆ X , B ⊆ X, A ≠ B and A ∩ B =
{2, 3, 5, 7}.

3. Let ABC be an acute angled triangle. The circle Г with BC as diameter intersects AB and AC again
at P and Q, respectively. Determine ∠BAC given that the orthocentre of triangle APQ lies on Г.

4. Let 𝑓(𝑥) = 𝑥 3 + 𝑎𝑥 2 + 𝑏𝑥 + 𝑐 and 𝑔(𝑥) = 𝑥 3 + 𝑏𝑥 2 + 𝑐𝑥 + 𝑎, where a, b, c are integers with c ≠ 0.

Suppose that the following conditions hold:
(a) 𝑓(1) = 0
(b) The roots of g(x) are squares of the roots of f(x).

Find the value of 𝑎2023 + 𝑏 2023 + 𝑐 2023.

5. Find all positive real numbers x, y, z such that

1 1 1 1 1 1
2𝑥 − 2𝑦 + 𝑧 = 2014 , 2𝑦 − 2𝑧 + 𝑥 = 2014 , 2𝑧 − 2𝑥 + 𝑦 = 2014.

6. Find all real numbers a such that 3 < a < 4 and 𝑎(𝑎 − 3{𝑎}) is an integer. (Here {a} denotes the
fractional part of a. For example {1.5} = 0.5; {-3.4} = 0.6)
