INTRODUCTION
The Flashing LED light is an innovative product of SHRI SAI SAMARTH TECHNICAL
SERVICES under the Make in India Initiative.
MARINE LED LANTERN 3SFL10 ( 3S = Shri Sai Samarth Technical Services, FL=
Flashing Light and 10 = Range in Nautical Miles. )
Marine LED Lantern Model- 3SFL10is a Multi-Tier LED Flashing Lantern built on
innovative Technology and is suitable for a range of 11 -15NM. It comes with a
cost effective, maintenance free service & can be easily installed. The Three Tier
LED Lens system gives a better illumination and accurate beam of light. The
3SFL10 can be mounted on
FRP/Aluminum (Non corrosive) stand with 4 Solar Panels or Direct installation on
Buoys.
CONSTRUCTION & WORKING PRINCIPLE
The 3SFL10 LED flasher light is a water tight / IP65 compliant equipment. The
optional peripheral equipments connected to the 3SFL10 flasher led light are as
mentioned below.
1. Solar Panel.
2. Solar Charge Controller
3. Tubular Gell Battery
4. Relay module
5. GSM module
The entire body is made up of anodized aluminum , The 18 nos of RED LED's
arranged in three tire and connected to each other in series parallel combination
are mounted on a hollow hexagonal anodized aluminum frame fixed to the main
body . The self adhesive lenses are mounted on top of the led's supported by
aluminum lenses which is fixed to the hexagonal body by screws. each of the
three tier is separated by a round aluminum disc which sit on top of the array of
lenses of each tier and acts as locking mechanism holding the lenses firmly
together. The equipment is provided with a bird spike which sits on the top most
part of the equipment and also acts as a top cover of the equipment. The material
used for the top hat bird spike is also Anodized aluminum. The top hat bird spike
is secured to the bottom part of the equipment by Stainless Steel through thread
rods. A Clear Transparent Acrylic Cylinder is fitted between the top hat bird spike
and the bottom part, covering and securing the array of LED's and lenses. The
clear transparent acrylic cylinder is held / secured firmly between the top hat bird
spike and the bottom part of the equipment by the through thread Stainless steel
rods with hexagonal nuts at the bottom side and dome nuts on the top side.
The bottom part of the equipment houses the four channel flasher cum driver
PCB . Each channel is connected to the series parallel wired led's of a single tire.
Hence each tire is connected to the flasher cum driver PCB at three channel
outputs respectively. The fourth channel is spare for future use or emergency if a
channel output malfunctions . The Flasher cum driver PCB is powered by 12volts
DC from the Solar charge controller load output. The 12 Volts
battery is connected and charged by the Solar charge controller . The Solar
charge controller is in turn connected to the Solar panels and the 3SFL10 flasher
LED light. The solar charge controller charges the battery in the day time when
the battery is consumed in the night. It also monitors the solar panels and the
battery . The Solar charge controller also monitors the charging discharging
voltage of the battery , the output load voltage, the solar panel voltage and
current. Additional provision is made to monitor the status of the 3SFL10 led
light ON Light OFF status along with date and time by SMS via a combination of a
GSM module and Relay Module . The output of the relay module NO NC contact
stating the status of Light OFF and Light ON is connected to the GSM module.
The GSM module is powered by the 12 Volt's DC and has provision to store upto
10 Recipient Mobile Number's who can receive the ON OFF status message via
SMS.

OPERATION
The 3STechS 3SFL10 flashing led light does not require any operator intervention
once installed and all sub assemblies are interconnected and secured properly.
The Operation of the equipment and its associated optional sub assemblies is
automatic through the solar charge controller , It is the Solar charge controller
that detects the status of the Solar Panels output voltage at Dawn and Dusk .
When the voltage of the Solar Panels reaches a predefined voltage at Dawn and
Dusk the 3SFL10 Flashing LED light switches on and off automatically.
The entire operation is actually automatic less there is a failure or malfunction of

any sub assembly . This is also taken care of by using reliable and standard
branded and reputed sub assemblies. However the Solar charge Controller has an
LCD to monitor and set standby and operational parameters of the entire
equipment and sub assemblies.
Optionally provision is provided as explained earlier via SMS the ON OFF status of
the 3SFL10 flasher light, which alerts that there is a probable fault.
The Flasher PCB inside the Led Lantern has provision to program / change the
flashing code manually . There is optionally a blue tooth pcb connected to the
flasher pcb that is used to program / change the flashing code via a mobile app.
MAINTENANCE
There is no requirement of any periodic maintenance as such for any of the

equipments nor sub assemblies. Even the Battery used are maintenance free
batteries.
