PURPOSE
The Purpose of windsocks (windcones) is to indicate:
• WIND STRENGTH • WIND DIRECTION • GUST FACTOR • AIRFIELD LOCATION
PRODUCT
McWILLIAM Fluorescent Dayglow orange windsocks are approved under ICAO
Annex 14.5.1.1.3 for 'Wind Direction Indicators at Aerodromes.' The unique fabric
we use is specially woven and dyed Polyester Sailcloth. It has been developed during
our 30 years experience in the harsh marine environment. This material ensures that
our Dayglow orange windsocks are highly visible and fade resistant.
McWILLIAM Windsocks are also rot resistant, and are proven to last longer than
nylon in all weather conditions.
USED BY
We have supplied and satisfied customers in civilian and military authorities in Abu
Dhabi, Britain, the Falkland Islands, Greenland, Holland, Ireland, Malaysia, Malta,
Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, USA, and to the USAF, Shell and BP.
