Sublimation Printing: Consumables
Sublimation process is where a the special sublimation ink has been heated up until in converting it
into a gas, at this point where it diffuses onto the selected product and solidifies. The ink transfer
using sublimation method will be permanently heat transferred to mugs, puzzles, hats, metals, and
other sublimation surfaces. Other than that, sublimation printing is also suitable on fabrics such as
T-shirts, cushions, etc. and to ceramic products for instance mugs.
In order to be able to print using the sublimation process, there is an initial cost of buying a
computer and some suitable software combined with the investment in a gel printer and a heat press.
These vary in price according to the make and size of the images you want to be able to print.
Consumables are the items that you need to complete the printing process and these will need to be
replaced once they have been used. Some examples are given below.
