Activity 3 – Personal Reflection on Pregnancy

Name: Charll Dezon A. Aba Date: 09/25/2022

As I upon spectated the videos concerning about pregnancy, I was captivated, moved,
and blithely amazed by its reproductive function relating to the pregnancy in women.
Since I am boy or man it evokes my knowledge and purview the significant facts about
women’s speciality or learnings pertains the ethical of pregnancy in women because
they’re the apex to conceive an offspring and child that endows a legacy to the family or
heir that regards to inheriting certain objects or business to incumbent the responsibility
in this world. First, let us take a look at what is pregnancy the term itself. Pregnancy is
the period during which a fetus grows inside a woman's womb or uterus is referred to as
the gestation period. Pregnancy typically lasts 40 weeks, or little more than 9 months,
from the last menstrual cycle to delivery. In the video, I’ve learned the trimesters which
are the terms used by doctors to describe the three stages of pregnancy. Secondly,
Pregnancy occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg, which can occur even if you haven't
had sexual contact (penetration). For instance, Semen can be ejaculated during vaginal
penetrative intercourse (when the penis penetrates the vagina). Semen is a liquid that is
formed after ejaculation that includes millions of sperm. When the penis is erect (before
ejaculation), a liquid known as pre-ejaculate or "pre-cum" is generated. This liquid may
contain thousands of sperm but it will die for a minute if it will conserved at room
temperature of below 37 degrees Celsius. On top of that, Ovulation occurs 12–16 days
before the onset of a period when the ovaries release one or more eggs. The sperm
enters the body through the vagina and goes to the fallopian tubes, where the egg is
often fertilized, through the cervix and womb (conception). The egg can be fertilized by
sperm found in sperm or pre-ejaculate.

Another point worth noting is that I’ve learned the various or motley of body changes
and signs pertains to pregnancy in women which is useful to me if I have a wife soon in
the future I can grasp and comprehend the pregnancy in women since it would make
me sapient and calmly disposition to have a child inside the womb in the female
reproductive. Also, I must advice to avoid alcohol during pregnancy. Alcohol has been
linked to premature delivery, intellectual disability, birth defects, and low birth weight
babies. Not only to avoid alcohol but to avoid soft cheeses such as feta, Brie,
Camembert, blue-veined, and Mexican-style cheese. These cheeses are often
unpasteurized and may cause Listeria infection. There’s no need to avoid hard cheese,
processed cheese, cream cheese, cottage cheese, or yogurt. I advocate and proselytize
to Choose foods high in fiber that are enriched, such as whole-grain breads, cereals,
beans, pasta and rice, as well as fruits and vegetables. Although it’s best to get your
fiber from foods, taking a fiber supplement can help you get the necessary amount.
Examples include psyllium and methylcellulose. According to experts, talk with your
doctor before starting any supplements. If you take a fiber supplement, increase the
amount you take slowly. This can help prevent gas and cramping. It’s also important to
drink enough liquids when you increase your fiber intake. Conclusively, despite all of
this scientific aspect of pregnancy, helpful tips and don’t we must take note that we
carry a baby inside the womb that consider as a human person it means we shall take
responsibility to take care and intake a healthful lifestyle to support this being enclosed
in the womb that confer coming from god itself because not all women have the
fortunate to have a child or infant which means make sure you are getting enough
vitamins and minerals in your daily diet while pregnant. You should take a prenatal
vitamin supplement to make sure you are consistently getting enough vitamins and
minerals every day.
