    This study aims to determine the application of the internal control system in supporting the

    effectiveness of the credit granting system at the Maumere Main Credit Cooperative Center. Collecting
    data used in this study using interview and observation methods. This type of research uses a
    qualitative descriptive method to analyze the internal control system in supporting the effectiveness of
    lending, the authors use a qualitative descriptive analysis technique by comparing the internal control
    system that has been implemented at the Maumere Main Swadaya Credit Cooperative Center with the
    internal control system according to IAI (2001), namely control environment control components, risk
    assessment, control activities, information and communication and monitoring. The data analysis
    technique in this study is a descriptive analysis technique that aims to answer problems in research on
    internal control systems in supporting the effectiveness of the credit granting system at the Maumere
    Main Swadaya Credit Cooperative Center according to IAI (2001). The results of this study indicate that
    the implementation of the internal control system in supporting the effectiveness of lending at the
    Maumere Main Swadaya Credit Cooperative Center and according to IAI (2001) has been implemented
    but there is still a control component, namely monitoring has not been carried out optimally.
