As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith.

It is not
from yourself or anything you’ve done, but the gift of God”. Salvation, therefore, is a free gift of
grace from God. As promised by the Lord, we shall be saved. With His promise of salvation, we
shall live an everlasting life.
I chose the Holy Rosary as my subject of representation on how to overcome
depression. The Holy Rosary is symbolic of my longing not only for salvation but for a life of
peace and tranquility. The 5 prayers in the Holy Rosary such as the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory
Be, Salve Regina and Fatima Prayers are the medicine to my soul. When I am down and full of
worries, I experience healing whenever I utter these prayers. These professions of faith serve
not only as my light amidst the dark days brought by depression but also my rainbow after the
storm. In addition, the mysteries prayed in the Holy Rosary such as the Joyful, Sorrowful,
Luminous and Glorious mysteries constantly remind me that like Christ, Our Savior, we can
overcome whatever challenges life throws and that at the end of the day, we can be like the
Child Jesus, someone’s source of joy.
I also chose the Bible because it is full of verses where it reflects positivity and light to
me whenever I am depressed. It uplifts my spirit if I read in prayer and fasting. Such is the story
of Elisha where he undergone depression but was filled with hope with the Lord. Many stories
show healing and miracles where it not only relieves physical sickness so with the spirit and
heart. The story of Jesus alone gives us the hope of eternal life with Him through His sacrifice, if
we only obey and listen unto His words.
Beyond doubt, it will always be our faith that will bring us closer to the promise of
salvation and everlasting life
