The following steps will guide you through your application process.
1. Pre-application Assessment
Interested candidates are encouraged to send in their CV for a pre-application assessment by the
recruitment team. You may either email it to tiemba@insead.edu (INSEAD team) or tiemba@sem.
tsinghua.edu.cn (Tsinghua team).

In addition to your online application form and fees, you will need
to submit the following documents: two letters of recommendation;
colour copies of identity documents; colour copies of degree(s) either
in English or Chinese and; original copies of official transcripts
with grades from all universities attended.
4. Assessment Options
You will need to take either the GMAT, the Executive Assessment (EA), the Tsinghua or INSEAD
on-campus admissions tests (the latter only for non-Chinese nationals). For the Tsinghua
or INSEAD admissions test, applications must be completed at least two weeks before
the test date.
We operate a rolling admission process, offering you a choice of four deadlines. We recommend
applying as early as possible and applications will be evaluated as they are submitted.
For reference, the deadlines for the class starting in September 2020 are:
A Chinese Language core course is compulsory for international participants who come to China
to undertake a master degree, unless one of the exemptions below applies.
Exemptions
Participants who have already learnt Chinese before may be exempted with any of these proofs
of language proficiency:
• Chinese Proficiency Test Certificate: Old HSK Level 8, or New HSK Level 6: an overall score
of at least 195 with minimum scores of 65 in Listening, Reading and Writing.
• The “Tsinghua University International Student Chinese Proficiency Test A” during Module
One in Beijing.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for the September 2020 intake are US$125,000. Most participants fund their
programme with a combination of personal savings, family support, sponsorship by an employer,
scholarships and loans. As TIEMBA is a dual degree programme, you are going to receive
invoices from both schools. Fees payable to INSEAD are inclusive of the prevailing GST.
