Foreword
Welcome to Use
Congratulations on your purchase of VentiTV, which is a multi-media program
incorporating analog TV, radio receiver, digital TV(DVB-T) and complete play &
browsing functions.
This device adopts WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) visual graphic
interface operations, lightweight and with excellent functions.
This device enables users to finish the preliminary installation nearly without any
reference to the manual. It also contains various new functions, enhanced programs
and tools. View the new functions: start an interesting information journey;
understand the powerful and various settings to meet the needs of the multi-media
players, which will allow you to better enjoy the convenience brought by VentiTV.

Due to its different development and manufacturing time, the program may be
updated at any time. In case of any inconsistency between the descriptions of your
manual and your machine, your machine shall prevail.

System Requirement:
z Support Microsoft® Windows XP / Vista operation systems
z 1.8 GHz CPU to support browsing
z 2.8 GHz CPU to support the recording and time shifting function with at
least 256MB memory required in Microsoft® Windows XP (512MB
memory and above is recommended)
z 1GB memory and above is recommended for Microsoft® Windows Vista.
z Require audio device
z Require a CD-ROM drive to support installation.
z Require 2GB space for time shifting function.
z Support for Microsoft® DirectX 9.0C and above versions.
z Support for TV capture card; the functions supported by VentiTV are
determined by the installed capture device.

Description of Installation Function


Please install by following the procedures below:
z Turn on the desktop computer.
z Insert the CD-ROM complete with the product into the CD-ROM drive of
the computer.
z Select the language on the first screen and press ‘Next’.
z Press ‘Setting and Installation’.
z Confirm your selection and click ‘Install’.
z Press ‘Accept’ and the system will start to install the VentiTV program. It
may take some time to install the program, please wait until the
installation finishes.
z After the installation is finished, press ‘Close’ to exit the installation
wizard.
z You can select 【 】 directly or 【On】 button on the remote control
for setting.

Chapter 3: Function Description


Before you start to use this device, you may select 【 】 directly or 【On 】button
on the remote control, and the screen will enter the program interface before you can
select related programs for setup.

Function Description of Icons
Icon Name Description
Close Close the window or close the taskbar.
Full Screen Maximize the window to full screen.
Minimize Minimize the window to a taskbar button.
Help Show related information.
Teletext/ Teletext or Close Caption, this function shall be

Video-Audio Function description
Time shifting refers to the recording mdoe for simultaneously watching, playing
backward, or pausing a playing program when the program is being recorded.
Press for rapid ‘time shifting’ to record the playing program. Entering the control
interface of recording to control program play mode. Press to play backward to
the very beginning, to play, to pause, to stop, and to forward to the
end….To control the play progress, you may click the control bar for “forward’, ‘drag
area’ and ‘backward’

Press to enter the program browsing interface rapidly and select your favorite
channel on the control interface.

Chapter 4: Basic Operation Setting
Input Selection
Prior to setting, select directly to display the required input signals, and right click
the mouse (left-click for the mouse designed for left hand) to display the popup menu
which is different under different operation modes. Some of the menu functions will
display the actual signal functions, so the following illustrations may vary.

The above popup menus are described as follows:


Name Description
Aspect ratio Appropriate aspect ratios that users can adjust and set include 3
options: 4:3, 16:9 and random.
Full screen Maximize the control interface to full screen.
Minimize Minimize the control interface to a taskbar button
Always on This function may fix the display screen at the top of the window to
Top allow users to view the program while working.
Snapshot Press the icon on the control interface or select ‘single capture’
from the menu to store the playing program on the screen as a static
image. To capture a particular image more acurately, you may pause
the screen or play it in slow motion first.
Advance ‘Initiate the zoom-in function’ —to create the independent window for
the enlarged part of the screen.
‘permit the zoom-in via your mouse’—move the mouse to select the
area to be locally enlarged to zoom in the area on the screen.
‘Non-interlaced scan’— the screen(s) are scanned continuously all at
once from left to right, and from top down. The improper signals on
the screen (VBI signals) may also be filtered via this function.
Audio There are different choices under different modes: options of BTSC / A2
/ Nican can be supported upon analog signal input, while selections of
multiple sound programs may be suppoted upon digital signal input.
Mute Press the ‘mute’ function to turn on/off the audio of the system.
Caption Some of the programs in digital signals have multiple text systems. If
the playing program has any text information, the option may be
selected if desired.

Configuration
Press the button in the control panel directly to enter the setting screen of various
functions. Please refer to the following descriptions related to the setting of the
devices in this system.

Device setting:

In addition to version information, the setting page includes the list of the hardwares
supported by VentiTV. If more than one device are searched in the menu, it means
that it is possible for you to switch to any favorite device; if there are no choices in the
options of the menu, it means that the device is not supported.

Analog channel List Setting
The detailed functions are as follows:

Name Description
Select Need to choose country again and press “Select” to get the
country/area correct video standard and channels.
Signal Input Image systems that are receivable includes ‘Antenna TV’ and
‘Cable TV’.
Auto scan Select signal source. Select ‘auto scan’ directly to scan the
Stop scan channels receivable. Select ‘stop scan’ to interrupt the scanning
task.
Fine tune If the channel is not clear, this function can be adopted for
fine-tuning to seek proper quality.
Video format The function is inactive (grey color) in most of the countries and

the function will be enabled automatically and the user may set a
system that meets local requirements.
Users themselves may change the name of the channel(s), move
the channel(s) to correspond to the new program guide. After

Load & Save ‘read’ or ‘access’ the files of the program in use. The user may
store multiple programs for rapid switching among the channels in
the future.

Set automatic scan:
Prior to the setting, it is necessary to select the ‘country/region’ to obtain the program
frequency of the region.
To select ‘cable TV’ or ‘antenna TV’ for scanning.
Press ‘auto scan’ to search the channels immediately or press ‘stop’ to interrupt the
scanning task.
Upon completion of scanning, press ‘update’ and perform ‘save’.

Channel list:
On the right of the above programs is the function key to turn
on/off the channel list mode, in which contains the following contents:
Once the pre-set list mode is enabled, select the
signal input function directly above the pre-set
list (its input function depends on hardware
support and does not support all hardwares) and
switch to the play mode, as shown in the
example below:

In the program, select the channel or set the


channel as ‘favorite channel’.

Broadcast program setting:
Radio receiver channel
Set the frequency from 88.0MHz to 108.0MHz. The related functions are
described as follows:

Name Description
Scan mode ‘scan all’ —to research and clear all the original data.
‘add frequency’—to get new channel(s) and remain the old data. In
case of too many channels to be searched, it is necessary to have
some of the old data cleared manually.
‘scan’—to begin scan.
‘stop’ —to interrupt scan immediately.
Edit Channel After the name of the program is edited, press ‘update’ to update
the finished data to the channel list zone.
Load & Save ‘load’ or ‘save’ the files of the program in use. Users may store
multiple programs for rapid switching among the channels in the
future.
Program guide Users may click the check box to ‘select’ or ‘cancel’.

Digital TV program guide:
There may be different frequency ranges and scanning methods
depending on the country selected. Its function is described as
follows:

Name Description
Scan mode It provides two modes: ‘scan all’ and ‘add frequency’. Perform
‘complete scan’ first; if there is any missing channels or if the
information is incomplete, and then perform ‘add scan’. For certain
countries, it is necessary to perform ‘add scan’ at different time
(since programs are played at specific time in different countries)
to obtain a complete program guide.
Load & Save To store or read the data having been edited so as to rapidly
switch the setting among different regions or countries.
Program guide Users may click the check box to‘select’ or ‘cancel’.

Image setting:
The image setting function can only be set in analog signals.

Name Description
Color Color setting has different support ranges, namely default values
depenidng on the device, which function is obtained with the driver.
Hence, functions that are not supported by the driver show grey
color and are disabled on the screen.
Video input The default value will be the same as the specification of the TV;
standard however, since the function may support different image
specification input, users can view correct screens simply by setting
the system same as the play device.
Enable Improve the time difference of scanning line of TV signals so that
de-interlace there are no residual shadows on the screen, and the borderlines of
dynamic objects no longer have VBI signals and flashing.

Record setting:

Name Description
Snapshot It can set saved file directory and format, and enable the ‘enable
sport analyzer’ whereby 5 images can be captured within one
second, equal to the continuous shooting of a camera.
Audio-Video It can set the directory and file format, and trim the file
record automaitcally depending on its size to suit to the capacity of the
storage device. There is a function provided here of which only
sound can be saved to meet users’ multiple choices.
Radio record This function is valid only upon analog signal input and can be
used for setting the saved file directory.

Advanced setting:
When performing any functions for special requirements, the advanced
function can be set by means of self-defining image and browsing.

Name Description
Select VentiTV is preset to be of the same language as the system and
language can be modified by users to meet their requriements.
Channel Select the the number of the most frequently browsed programs
Surfing and seconds for switch delay. Users can also set to browse all
programs or the channels in My Favorite.
Zoom This setting may be used to enlarge any specific area on the
screen by users. The number displayed on the left shows the
zoomed screen’s actual aspect ratio; the red rectangle box in the
screen is the preview zone dragged out by means of the mouse,
while the red box is the zoomed area. Also, it is possible to control
‘enable/disable’ for the function or ‘moving the mouse to zoom in
the area’ from the popup menu of the image window.

Chapter 5: Channel Reserve Setting
Reserve Schedule Setting

It is capable of reserving the schedule to preset your favorite channel, which will be
played automaitcally when the pre-set time is up.
The electronic program guide(EPG) may not be displayed under all modes, but can be
displayed only when the signal source input includes the function of program
information, which can only be selected from digital TV input.

List of Reserved Channels:
Users can browse the reserved schedules that have not occurred, and ‘add’, ‘modify’
or ‘delete’ them. If you want to execute the mute function when performing a reserved
schedule, you can select ‘turn on schedule recording mute’.
When the computer is in the state of the hibernate or stand-by, the reserve schedule
function will awaken the computer automatically to proceed the preset task.
If there is any message window showing any password to be set or users to be slected
before the computer enters the system, it will be unable to enter the reserve schedule
function due to the wait, in which case it is necessary to remove the setting before
reserving schedule is performed properly.
The system will enter the ‘schedule data’ setting screen once ‘add’ or ‘modify’ is
selected.

EPG:

The latest list of TV programs can be obtained by using this function. When the user
clicks a program on the list, its detailed information (if any) will be displayed in the
content block at the bottom.
Each channel will be read, analyzed and updated whenever it is switched, which last
3~10 seconds. This action does not mean that the program is wrong or the data is
displayed incorrectly.
The system will enter the screen of ‘schedule data’ setting once ‘add schedule’ is
selected.

Add Channel Setting
Schedule Data Setting:

Name Description
Input source Input your choice according to the programs requried to be
/Select channel added, which will affect the following controls:
Mode Users may define, when scheduling is in process, whether they
need to view or record the program and select necessary record
specification, but the recording format is fixed to MPEG-II upon
digital TV input.
Schedule time Users may select the frequency and time at which the scheduling
takes place according to their own preferences. Please pay
attention to the following:
1. The starting time may not be earlier than the present time.
2. The length of the reserve schedule task shall be more than 5
minutes and less than 6 hours.
3. If you allow your computer to enter the state of hibernation or
stand-by, you are strongly suggested to have your computer
awakened at least three minutes after the starting time of the last
schedule task.
Schedule This option can specify the state that the computer shall enter
recorded after the schedule task finishes, including ‘keep watching’, ‘close
processing to VentiTV’, ‘standby mode’, ‘sleep mode’ or ‘shut down’.

Пожалуйста соблюдайте все правила установки ТВ тюнера! 
1. Выключите Ваш компьютер, отключите питание от сети. 
2. Откройте коробку, достаньте ТВ тюнер и установите в 
свободный PCI слот. 

 
3. Подключите антенны и все необходимые кабели. Расположите 
датчик ИК сигнала так, что бы при управлении с пульта ДУ он был в
