MEAN
- (average) of a data set is found by adding all numbers in the data set and then dividing by the number of
values in the set.
MEDIAN
- is the middle value when a data set is ordered from least to greatest.
MODE
- is the number that occurs most often in a data set.

STANDARD DEVIATION (OR Σ)

- is a measure of how dispersed the data is in relation to the mean. Low standard deviation means data
are clustered around the mean, and high standard deviation indicates data are more spread out.

T TEST
- is a statistical test that is used to compare the means of two groups. It is often used in hypothesis testing to
determine whether a process or treatment actually has an effect on the population of interest, or whether two
groups are different from one another.

ANOVA
- which stands for Analysis of Variance, is a statistical test used to analyze the difference between the means of
more than two groups.
- is a way to find out if survey or experiment results are significant. In other words, they help you to figure out if
you need to reject the null hypothesis or accept the alternate hypothesis.

CORRELATION
- is a statistical method used to assess a possible linear association between two continuous variables. It is simple
both to calculate and to interpret.

CHI-SQUARE TEST
- is a statistical test used to compare observed results with expected results. The purpose of this test is to
determine if a difference between observed data and expected data is due to chance, or if it is due to a
relationship between the variables you are studying.

Research Question:
Is there a significant difference between?
Research Hypothesis:
There is no significant difference between…

t-test, ANOVA, Correlation, Chi-Square
