Scholarship information for 2021 will continue to be updated over the coming months as
details are confirmed. Most scholarships will open for applications after January 2021

Please check your Masters course page on the Cranfield website. Each course page has a
‘Fees and Funding’ section that will list specific opportunities for your course. Please follow
the specific instructions for each opportunity to ensure you are considered. If your course
page lists an option for a Cranfield Scholarship and you wish to apply, you must contact
your course admissions tutor directly. If you do not have their contact details please send a
short submission to our admissions team - study@cranfield.ac.uk - who will pass this on for
you. Please ensure you include your full name, course name and Cranfield student
application number in your e-mail.

Cranfield Water Science Institute are, in collaboration with the International Water
Association, offering fifteen full-fee scholarships across our MSc courses in Water for full-
time students. The International Water Association and Cranfield Water Science Institute
Excellence Scholarship is now open for applications for those holding an offer of admission.
Apply online before the deadline of 30 April 2021.

The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation is actively

engaged in helping young people develop careers in aviation by offering scholarships of up
to $US10,000. Any student applying for a full-time MSc course related to Aviation or
Aerospace can apply – deadline for applications is 18 March 2021.

Prodigy Finance offer student loans to those students undertaking a full-time Masters course
with the Cranfield School of Management. For students from outside the UK, please check
the Prodigy Finance website to see if your country is one that is eligible for a loan. Loans can
cover tuition fees and living costs – please check the Prodigy website for more information.

Postgraduate Solutions Bursary – provide bursaries of £500 and are open to UK and
international students with a number of different categories.

MastersCompare – have a £5,000 scholarship open to all students studying a full-

time or part-time masters course.

Cranfield is delighted to partner with the British Council in the 2021 GREAT Scholarship
scheme. Scholarships are £10,000 toward tuition fees on selected full-time Masters courses.

Cranfield University, in partnership with the British Council, is proud to join the Women in
STEM Scholarship initiative by offering six fully funded scholarships for female students
from the Americas’ region (eligible countries only). We are looking for women with a
background in STEM, who can demonstrate their need for financial support and who wish to
inspire future generations of women to pursue careers in STEM. Apply online before the
deadline of 15 March 2021. The scholarships are for selected courses in manufacturing,
energy, agrifood, environmental technology and water.

Cranfield School of Management is pleased to offer scholarships worth £4,000 toward tuition
fees for those from Latin America and Middle East/ North Africa. Scholarships are for
candidates with an offer of admission to selected full-time Masters courses with the Cranfield
School of Management. Please check the links below to see if your country is included.

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is not yet open for applications. Eligible courses at
Cranfield for 2021 have not yet been announced – please check the webpage in February
2021 for more details.

Study a Master's in Europe Scholarship is worth €5,000 and open to students who
will be studying a Master's degree abroad at a European University in Fall 2021.
Applications close 17th May 2021.

If you are a UK or EU student

The Postgraduate Masters Loan from Student Finance England can provide a loan of up to
£11,222 (2020/21 amount). There is more information here. Full-time and part-time Masters
courses at Cranfield are eligible. EU eligibility has been confirmed for 2020/21 (those starting
their course before August 2021). In 2021/22 Postgraduate loans are available to UK and
Irish students, as well as EU students with settled or pre-settled status in the UK under the
EU Settlement Scheme.

Centre for Competitive Creative Design and Design Thinking Excellence Scholarships are
open to UK and EU students applying to study the MSc in Design Thinking. C4D is offering
five exciting scholarships worth £5,000 towards tuition fees to candidates who are able to
show a creative flair drive and passion, and who will serve as ambassadors for the
programme. Apply online by 26 March 2021.

Pool Re Postgraduate Scholarship is funded by Pool Re who is offering up to five

scholarships for UK students undertaking the MSc in Counterterrorism, Risk Management
and Resilience. Scholarships are worth £2,000 toward tuition fees.
Future Finance offer loans of between £2,000 and £40,000 to all students with a UK
domiciled address (assuming they meet appropriate credit checks, and are 18 or over),
regardless of which level of study they are pursuing.

Lendwise offer affordable student loans ranging from £5,000 to £100,000 for all UK
domiciled students at Cranfield University which can cover tuition fees and living expenses.

Erasmus+ Loan – If you are from Spain, Romania, Croatia, Italy (Emilia Romagna) or Turkey
there is a loan scheme offered by local banks and the European Investment Fund. You can
apply for the loan if you are undertaking a Masters course and have a Bachelors qualification
from outside of the UK.

If you are a PhD student

There may be specific PhD opportunities that are funded – however these are usually only
open to ‘Home’ students (UK/EU). These are fully funded opportunities, often in collaboration

The Doctoral Loan from Student Finance England was launched in 2018 and provides a loan
of up to £26,445 to eligible UK/EU students studying a research degree at Cranfield
University. In 2021/22 Postgraduate loans are available to UK and Irish students, as well as
EU students with settled or pre-settled status in the UK under the EU Settlement Scheme.

The Commonwealth Split-Site PhD Scholarship is for those students undertaking a PhD
course and wish to spend 12 months at a UK university as part of their doctoral studies.
These scholarships are open to students from low and middle-income countries who are
studying at a university with links to Cranfield University. Check the CSC website for all
application instructions and deadlines for your country.
