Safran is a world leader in producing aircraft equipment, the number one in production of engines for single aisle
commercial jets, leading supplier of helicopter engines and also the only engine nacelle manufacturer in the world to
supply all civil aviation segments. Their adroit ideas and innovations, especially in terms of making astute alliances with
leading corporations in the aviation industry, and the zeal to always be at the apex has captured my interest in Safran.

I am currently completing an MSc at Cranfield University in Aerospace Vehicle Design with a focus of Aircraft design. In
the Group Design Project of my masters’ program, I have selected cost, market and infrastructure as my task through
which I am being exposed to the various nuances of cost engineering. In a more practical approach the design of an
aircraft is always a trade-off between various aspects such as safety, weight and costs. My bounteous amounts of
experience in design which I had amassed in my undergraduate years as an intern in government defense establishment
and start-up companies have given me a heuristic approach to solving problems. During my internship in DRDO (Defense
Research and Development Organisation) I was assigned the task of reconfiguring an old Electro-optical payload for
weight reduction through cost analysis of replacement, procurement and market survey of new technology based
components. During my final undergraduate year, I was elected as the Vice President of Student Career Advisory &
Placement Support (SCAPS) forum and assisted corporates in hiring at a Job fair.

The skills and experiences that I have gained through previous exposure into the industry along with being adaptable
and pragmatically minded to learn and work with initiative. My academic qualifications combined with my practical
experience and proficiency in a myriad of software such as Microsoft Office suite, ANSYS, CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS
Octave and MATLAB. My wish is to work in a demanding and fast paced environment. I think I will be a good fit for the
company because my mindset matches the tenet of the organization and being part of a diverse and dynamic team with
Safran would be a valued opportunity to utilize my exceptional social aptitude, global mindset and enhanced
engineering skills.
