The project aimed to develop a modern geographic information system and update the rural cadastre for Tingo Palca, Peru. It involved collecting field information and digitizing maps based on UTM coordinates. The area's geology includes various rock groups from the Silurian-Devonian, Permian, and Triassic-Jurassic periods. Quaternary deposits in the area include alluvial deposits along the Tingo River and colluvial deposits at the base of hills formed by rock shedding. The project sought to inform local residents about the local geology and was successful due to good teamwork.

he project "elaboration of cadastral and geological plans of CC TINGO PALCA" is
located in the central part of the country, east of the Western Cordillera, with central zone of Peru, in the vicinity of the Valleys, Interandinos and the same way also the Nudo de Pasco, had as main objective to raise, update and integrate a rural cadastral system that allows to identify and register the various components of the environment, based on the development of a modern and effective Geographic Information System that also to collect and process the pertinent information for the appraisal of properties, also serves for the management and planning of other projects, developments in two stages: the first is the collection of information in the field in Tingo - Palca Province of Pasco and the second is the digitization and preparation of the database in the area of cartography from a BENCH MARCK UTM coordinates. E: 360653 N: 8830439 COTA: 3849 m.s.n.m. It is located in CC Tingo Palca - District of Yanacancha. The elaboration of a geological plane, the geology of this area includes excelsiur group (silurico-devonico): it consists of gray phyllites, fine-grained quartzite and carbonaceous shales. They contain some levels of oblique lamination and presents a low grade metamorphism, commonly with sericite and chlorite. These rocks have a north direction, have been strongly folded and conform the nucleus of the failed anticline structure of the pasco hill. The age of these rocks is not well determined; for mc lauglin they are siluric, for other researchers it is devonian. mitu group (upper Permian): the Mitu group is composed mainly of red sandstones and conglomerates with sub-rounded to angular clays of volcanic, sedimentary and metamorphic nature; Pucará group (Triassic - Jurassic - Chambará formation): Thin and powerful layers of dark gray limestone are present, with thin intercalations of black lutitic sediments, in this sequence are dolomitic and fossiliferous bituminous horizons, their power between 2,500 m. at 2 900 m. Quaternary deposits: alluvial deposits: they are deposits not consolidated by the combination of alluvial and fluvial processes. They are located mainly at the margins of the continuity of the Tingo river, it is composed lithologically by gravels, sands and clays. Colluvial deposits: are found at the base of the hillsides of the hills. They are poorly classified deposits with angular clasts with quite a silty sand matrix and there is no stratification. These deposits were originated by the rock shedding that caused landslides and landslides.
