ESSAY: Answer the following items using at least three (3) sentences.

1. How can we apply a demultiplexer in a security monitoring

system?
- To use a demultiplexer in a security monitoring system, keep in mind that a
demultiplexer requires a single input and multiple outputs, as it is a one-to-many
circuit or data distributor. As a result, we will use computers as a single input and
surveillance cameras or CCTVs as multiple outputs, with all CCTVs being linked to a
single source or input, which is the computer.
2. Differentiate Parallel In - Parallel Out shift registers (PIPO) and
Parallel In - Serial Out shift register (PISO) based on your
understanding.
- Under clock control, the parallel data is loaded into the register simultaneously and
serially shifted out of the register one bit at a time. While the parallel data is loaded
into the register at the same time and transferred to their respective outputs by the
same clock pulse.
3. One of your relatives asked which type of RAM is better. Which
would you select between static and dynamic? Why?
- Static RAM is both fast and expensive, whereas dynamic RAM is both cheaper and
slower. As a result, static RAM is used to build the CPU's speed-sensitive cache,
while dynamic RAM is used to build the larger system RAM space. There is also a
state between the two known as pseudo-static RAM.
4. In your perspective, what can be a possible advantage of using a
multiplexer? Rationalize your answer.
- The advantages of using a multiplexer include lower cost and simplicity in-circuit
application, making it a good choice for many circuit applications. As a result, there
will be fewer wires and a lower cost of operation, which can reduce expenses. When
designing a circuit with multiple wirings, it is also more advantageous to use a
multiplexer.
