Introduction
This document outlines the new features, enhancements and other changes in PecStar iEMS V3.6
R3 compared with R2.
Overview
The following table lists new features in R3 version in general.
Installation
iEMS V3.6 R3 supported database server involves PostgreSQL Server, which means
besides SQL Server, users can select PostgreSQL Server which is free as their
database server.
If you want to use PostgreSQL Server as database server when install iEMS V3.6,
please make sure you have installed PostgreSQL Server, which has two situations:
Clean installation of PostgreSQL: the PC has never ever installed the PostgreSQL
server or no PostgreSQL instance in the PC. Run the installation file and
execute steps according to installer guide. When install iEMS V3.6, the installer
will create PostgreSQL instance automatically.
Attach original PostgreSQL database: there are PostgreSQL instances in the PC,
when install the PostgreSQL Server, the instance can be detected. Users can
choose to attach existing instance or create a new PostgreSQL instance.
PostgreSQL Server supported operating systems are consistent with the ones that
iEMS V3.6 supported. However, the installation steps in those operating systems
are same. For details, please refer to PecStar iEMS V3.6 Installation Guide.
Please note that, if you select PostgreSQL Server as database server, then you should
select PostgreSQL Server as connected database when install Web, or upgrade the
web and select PostgreSQL Server as connected database.
iEMS Web
iEMS Web has integrated OfficeReport into building web since R3. Besides
querying PecReport which generated by PecReport module, the reports that
generated by OfficeReport also can be queried.
Users can query reports which generated according to default report templates,
such as Single Device Usage, Power Quality report and so on. In addition, users can
query custom reports if the custom reports have been configured by OfficeReport.
For details, please refer to PecStar iEMS V3.6 Web Access.
