PENGOLAHAN SEKUNDER KAYU

KELAS D

Pengampu:
Dr. J.P. Gentur Sutapa
Dr. Vendy Eko Prasetyo

Materi: Dr. Muhammad Navis Rofii

Course information
• Course content: Study the secondary processing of wood from several
wood elements to be wood-based composite products, pulp and paper, and
energy. In this lecture, various processing of wood elements that have been
practiced, the products of secondary wood processing, the factors influence
those processes, and the advantages and disadvantages of each products are
discussed. This course also provides the understanding to utilize other
lignocellulosic material from non-wood or non-forest resources as substitution
for wood materials.
• Course objective: The course is designed to foster forestry students
understanding the scope and concepts of secondary wood processing
including type of raw material, processing procedures, and kind of products,
able to identify the factors in the application of secondary wood processing,
and understanding the effective secondary wood processing methods for
tropical wood species concerning with environmental issues
