GENERAL RULES

• All the participants are required to get themselves registered; else, they will not be
entertained.
• Last day for internal registration will be 16th March 2023
• For external participants, the last day for registration is 17th March 2023.
• All participants are required to be on time else their registration will stand cancelled.
• Information regarding the events will be available at the Registration Desk too.
• Entries in the particular event will be strictly on a first-come basis.
• All participants are required to report to the venue 30 minutes prior to the
commencement of a particular event.
• Late entries will not be allowed.

• Registrations for all the events will start at 9:15 AM.

• All entries must reach the registration desk an hour before the event. Late entries are
not allowed.

• On-the-spot registration is not allowed.

• All Participant’s entries would be considered on their valid identity cards

• The college authorities reserve the right to alter any of the rules due to time constraint.

• Information regarding the events will be available on our socials Instagram and

• The judge's decision will be final. Clarifications regarding the judgment will not be
entertained.

• Props, dresses, stationery, special equipment, etc. will not be provided and will not be
compensated as well.

• Participants are required to take care of their belongings.

• Participants using unfair means will be immediately disqualified.


• In case of large numbers of registrations, online videos/ prelims should be organized for
external and internal participants, to select the best performances.

RULES FOR VARIOUS EVENTS

‘TECH GIG (Technical Quiz)’

Rules and Regulations: -

BREAK THE QUERY

• Technology Used: SQL


• Maximum Team Size: 2 (Two members)
• Rounds: 2 (Time Limited)
• Round 1: Elimination MCQs (MCQs related to Data Bases)
• Round 2: Solving SQL queries.
Rules:

1. Max two members in a team

2. Round 1 will be a paper-based test

3. Time limit for round 1 is 10 mins and for round 2 is 15 mins

4. 5 more MCQs will be prepared in case of a tie.


WEB JUNKIES

• Technology Used: HTML/CSS


• Topic: Institute Website Design Prototype
Rules:

1. Individual entries are allowed

2. Time limit is 45 mins

3. In case of a tie a verbal round of 5 HTML question-answer sessions will be conducted.

4. Judgement will be on the basis of Designing, Functionality, and Dynamic Content.

‘ARTISTRY (Face Painting)’

Rules and Regulations: -

Because sheets and walls get too mainstream, try your painting skill on the face of your
teammate!

• It is a team event. There can be only 2 participants in a team.

• Participants should bring their own colors, brushes, etc. No other additional props are
allowed.

• Time limit is 1 hour 30mins. Any team who exceeds the time limit will be disqualified on
the spot.

• Themes: “Individually we are a drop, but together we are an ocean.” and G20.

• Participants will be judged on the basis of creativity, uniqueness, and interpretation and
clarity of the theme, to the viewer.

• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.


‘RANGMANCH (Nukkad Natak)’

Rules and Regulations: -

● Time limit should be 15 minimum minutes and maximum 20 minutes.

● Play can be in any language either Hindi or English.

● The minimum number of participants is 15 and the maximum number is 22 in each


team.

● Play should revolve around a social cause or convey any social message.

● No offensive language or slang is allowed.

● Each member of a team should perform in the act.

● Judgment will be based on timing, usage of space, dialogue delivery, expressions, and
connection with the audience.

● Participants have to bring their own props. Use of any electronic gadget, fire, smoke
machine, lights, mikes, or any other bulky props is not allowed.

● All the participants of a team must be of the same college.

‘KAVYANJALI (Poetry Competition)’

Rules and Regulations:

• All entries are judged anonymously and biased free.


• All poems must have a title.
• Language can be both English and Hindi
• Time for each poem is 2-3 minutes.
• Entries can choose their title.
• Poems must be the entrant’s original work.
‘PICTURESQUE (Photography)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• The photograph should depict the theme- Culture, Wildlife, Nature, Travel,
Lifestyle,Jazbaa
• A caption must be given for the photograph.
• Only one entry is allowed per photographer.
• The photograph must be original & no watermark of any kind should be on the
photograph.
• Participants may submit colored or black & white photographs.
• The photograph must be of the highest resolution possible.
• It can be landscape\portrait mode.
• No editing, adjustments, or cropping is allowed. If done then the participant will be
disqualified.
• Adult content of any kind will not be entertained & would lead to direct disqualification.
• The photograph should be self-clicked &the caption should not be copied. The
photograph must be sent on or before 17th March 2023 with the following details:
i. Name
ii. Age
iii. Profession (student/working)
iv. College /institute name
v. Caption of photograph
vi. Camera details
vii. Contact number
‘ART BUZZ (Cartooning)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Individual Entries Only.


• Participants need to carry their own colors.
• Entries must be the original work of the contestant, and must not infringe upon the rights
of privacy, other intellectual property, or other rights of any person or entity.
• Time duration is 1.5 hours
• Entries awarded “finalist” status will be judged according to the judge’s determination of
creativity, cleverness, draftsmanship, relevance to the category to which the cartoon was
submitted, courage, and humor.
• If there is evidence of internet voting manipulation by the entrant or by outside parties,
category winners may be disqualified based on the judge’s discretion.

‘ORATOR FOR LIFE (Extempore English& Hindi)’


Rules and Regulations: -

• Each Participant shall be given 5+2 minutes to speak on a topic


• Topic is given on the spot after 2 mins of getting the topic participants to need to start their
speech
• Marks will be deducted if the speaker exceeds the time limit.
• Language used shall be English or Hindi.
• No objection shall be entertained as the Decision of the Jury members shall be final.

‘AD- DICTIVE (The AD Making Competition)’

Rules and Regulations: -

“Bring out the creativity inside you and make an outstanding advertisement of your own. Be it
hilarious or sensitive, be it just your creativity and ad sense.”

• It is a team-based event. Each team should have 4-5 members only.

• 5 minutes preparation time for each team will be given


• Time limit for performing the advertisement is 2-3 minutes. Negative points for
exceeding the time limit.

• Topics would be provided on the spot.

• Participants shall be judged on the basis of spontaneity, content, and adherence to the
topic, on-stage presentation, coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.

• The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice,
defamation etc. in Advertisement.

• Decision of the jury will be final & binding.

‘FASHIONISTA (Fashion show)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Negative marking if participants exceed the time limit of 12 minutes.

• The teams can perform on a theme of your choice

• Vulgarity is strongly prohibited.

• Any form of obscenity will lead to debarring the team from the contest.

• Teams have to bring their soundtracks& also, should submit their audio at least 1 day
prior on a CD or a pen drive.

• Shall bring their own props & costumes, college won’t provide anything!

• Each team can choose any theme of their own choice

• Any fault with the track is not our responsibility.

• Any type of crackers, or bursting props are not allowed for the attention of the crowd if
any team uses them. It will be disqualified.

• Number of members in a team: -


i. Minimum-8 members

ii. Maximum-15 members

• Use of cigarettes, alcohol and any unfair means is strongly prohibited.


• Teams will be judged on costumes, coordination, theme, walking stance, and attitude.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

‘MONO ACTING (Monologue)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Monologues can minimum of 1 minute 30 seconds and a maximum of 5 minutes in


length.
• Extreme vulgar language and/or sexual content are not permitted.
• Works performed by one person only.
• No other actors will be permitted on stage, even if they are silent in the performance.
• Contestants are free to bring their props.
• Theme is Safar (journey), Junoon.

‘BOL DIL SE (Anchor Hunt)’

Rules &Regulations: -

• Individual entries only.

• Topics will be given on the spot & anonymously.


• Negative marking will be done accordingly.

• All entries will be judged anonymously.

• Time limit for each performer will be 2 minutes maximum.

• No abusive/ inappropriate language is acceptable.

• Goodies / Cash prizes will be awarded to the best 3 participants.

• Best of 5 will be selected and will go for the final round.

• Language use – Hindi or English.

‘JASHN-E-SANGEET (Solo Singing)’


Rules and Regulations: -

• Participants can sing in any language.

• Entries will be taken on a first come first basis.

• Participants must have their decided songs.

• No last-minute entries will be entertained.

• Hindi and English Songs are allowed.

• No musical instruments will be provided by the college but if required, participants need
to carry their own instruments, and should be played by themselves only.

• If background music is required prior notification is necessary and the participant need to
carry the Music CD or Pen-drive to be played.

• Time for each performance is minimum 2 minutes and maximum 5 minutes.

• Judgment will be based on Spontaneity, content, command over the language,


presentation, confidence, talent, rhythm, voice quality, performance and audience
engagement.

• Participants must coordinate with the coordinators to get their CDs/ pen drive fixed 1 hr
before the event.
• Use of indecent words and foul language will lead to disqualification.

• The judge’s decision would be final and binding.

‘THE LAUGHTER STATION (Stand-Up Comedy)’


Rules and Regulations: -

● It is an individual competition.

● Limited entries based on a first come first serve basis.

● Time limit is 10 minutes (in case of fewer entries) otherwise 4-5 Minutes per person.

● Participants will be judged on the basis of content, fluency, spontaneity, presentation &
sense of humor.

● No participant can point out any individual or religion in any way, and any dual-meaning
obscene content is strictly not allowed.

● Negative marking for exceeding the time limit.

● Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

‘ROARIN n ROPIN (Tug of War)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Each team in a Tug of War competition consists of eight people.

• There are various weight classifications in Tug of War, and the mass of the eight people
combined must not weigh more than that determined by the category that they are
placed in. The rope used should be of a circumference of approximately 11 cm equals
(4.33 inches) and should be marked in the middle with a center line as well as two marks
that should be placed 4m (13.12 feet) from the center line.

• At the start of the pull, the center line of the rope should be immediately above the line
marked on the ground.
• Both teams pull the rope, the winner being the team who manages to pull the mark on
the rope closest to their opponents over the center line.

• The rope must be pulled underarm and nobody’s elbow must go below the knee,
otherwise a foul will be called.

• Matches are a best out of three pulls, the winner winning two out of the three pulls.

‘WAR ON THE SHORE (Arm Wrestling)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Free hand must be in contact with the peg at all times.


• Shoulders must be square to the table before the start of the match.
• Competing elbow must be placed on the elbow pad at all times.
• Thumb knuckles must be shown on competing hands before the start of the match.
• Competing wrists must be straight before the start of the match.
• Gripped hands must be in centre of the table, in line with pegs.
• Competitors must have both feet on the floor under the table for sit-down competition.
• A period of thirty seconds will be allowed to grip properly.
• Referee's grip must be administered after the thirty-second time period has lapsed.
• No movement will be allowed during or immediately following the administration of the
referee's grip.
• Competitors may waive the thirty-second time period if both agree; thereby starting the
match in a referee’s grip before thirty seconds have lapsed.

‘MR. & MS. LA KERMESSE 2023’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Round 1: Introduction & Ramp Walk (15 minutes)


In this, each participant will have 1 minute to introduce himself/herself. Negative points
for exceeding the time limit.
• Total no of participants – Max 12 ( 6 Girls & 6 Boys)
• Elimination will be there
• Round 2: Talent Round (30 minutes)
• In this each participant will have 2 minutes to show their talent. Negative points for
exceeding the time limit.
• Total no of participants – 12 (6 Girls & 6 Boys)
• Elimination: 08 ( 4 Girls & 4 Boys)
• Time limit: 2 min (Buzzer)
Round 3: Question-Answer Round (10 minutes)
• In this each participant will have 1 minute to answer the questions asked by judges.
Negative points for exceeding the time limit.
• Total no of participants – 8 (4 Girls & 4 Boys)
The decision of the jury will be final & binding.

• Rules and Regulations:


• Participants should carry their own dresses, materials, etc.
• No vulgarity should be reflected in the performance.
• Only CDs should be submitted for the music (if any), no MP3 will be allowed
• The participants should submit two copies of their music CDs at least 2 days before the
event.
• Participants will be judged for Mr. and Ms. La-kermesse and Unique Talent, Q &A (Mr.
and Ms. Talented).
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

‘IN- SYNC CREWS (Group Dance)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Indecency in any form including gestures, dress, etc. will not be allowed
• Max of 12 teams on a first come first serve basis would be allowed for entry
• Time limit for the performance should be 3-4 minutes. In case of exceeding the time
limit negative marking will take place.
• Maximum of 1 team per college will be allowed.
• The team should be of 4-12 members. Also, there should be at least 02 members on
stage at any point during the performance.
• All Dance forms are allowed (Freestyle dance).
• Participants will be judged on the basis of dancing style, coordination, costume,
expressions, and choreography.
• Teams have to bring their own props, costumes, make-up and reach the venue an
hour in advance.
• There is a restriction on the use of fire or any inflammable object and glass shatter
on stage. Disqualification will be awarded in such a case.

‘COOKING CONTINENT (Cook without Fire)’

Rules and Regulations: -

• Participants can take the part individually as in a team maximum 3.


• Participants should not bring any pre-cooked items.
• Participants are supposed to display a chart having the name & ingredients of the
dish.
• All required materials, tools, and equipment should be arranged by the participants.
• All the participants must leave their working area clean after the preparation is over.
• Evaluation is based on the taste, hygiene & presentation, unique names of the dish.
• There shall be minimum 2 and maximum 3 varieties of dishes.
• The decision of the judges will be final.
• Time limit: - 1hour 30 minutes

DANCE CLANS (Solo Dance)

Rules and Regulations: -

• Time limit is 2-3 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit.
• The participants are requested to bring one pen drive to avoid technical disturbance.
Out of which, they are also requested to submit one CD to the coordinator of the event.
• No extra time shall be given for installing drives. It should be done prior to the event.
• The participants will be judged on their costumes, visual presentation and dance form.
• There is no particular theme.
• Participants should get their own props. All props must be specified to the event
coordinator.
• Lighting of matchsticks, candles and cigarettes or any derogatory acts are strictly not
allowed on stage.
• Choice of song is open to the participants.
• Any obscene/offensive music/song is not allowed.
• The decision of the Judges will be final and binding.

DANCE DEEWANE (Duet Dance)


Rules and Regulations: -

• This is not a COUPLE DANCE.


• Time limit is 2-4 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit.
• The participants are requested to bring two CDs to avoid technical disturbance. Which,
they are also requested to submit one CD with the coordinator of the event.
• No particular theme has to be followed. The participants are free to mold the dance
form.
• Get your own props that must be informed to the coordinators prior the competiton.
• Lighting of matchsticks, candles and cigarettes or any derogatory acts are strictly not
allowed on stage.
• The participants will be judged on their costumes, compatibility, visual presentation and
dance form.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
