Participation per class: 5 participants (Maximum) : Individual event

Description:

Participants will be called to fill out a questionnaire. They will get the time duration
details to fill the entire form prior to the event. After filling out the form the
participants can exit after which they will be called for round 2. The event will consist
of an audition judging the participant's overall personality. Everything that happens
during the audition will not go outside the room. Participants are requested to open
up freely. Please go through the rules and regulations thoroughly before entering the
room for the audition. Participate at your own risk.

Rules:
1. The event will consist of an interview based on the answers written for the
questionnaire, judging the participant’s personality.
2. A few tasks might be included.
3. Participants, in any case, are not allowed to get disrespectful toward the judges.
4. The judges have the right to make them do any suitable task or activity.
5. Performing a given task is completely a choice of the participant based on which
he or she will be judged.
6. Participants failing to submit the questionnaire will not be eligible for
participation points.
7. 20 participants will be selected for the interview round on the basis of the
answers written in the questionnaire.
8. The council is in no way accountable for the tasks or questions asked by the
judges.
9. In case of a tie, priority will be given to the cumulative score of confidence and
entertainment.
10. The decision of the organizing team will be final and no arguments will be
entertained under any circumstances.
11. The Management, Dean of students’ affair and students’ council reserves the
right to edit the rules anytime and disqualify teams for reasons not being stated in
this list or take action.

BLACKOUT POETRY

Participation per class: 5 participants (Maximum) : Individual event

Description:

Total 3 pages will be given to all the participants. The participants can choose any 1 of
the 3 pages to create blackout poetry and write it on an A4 size ruled paper followed by
an elaboration of the poetry in a small paragraph of 100 to 200 words.

Duration: 45 minutes

Rules:
1. .The students have to SUBMIT only 1 choice poem as the final submission,
multiple submissions will not be accepted.
2. The students can use ONLY 1 sheet to create a poem
3. Manipulation of words is not allowed

E.g.: Comfortable cannot be cut short as ‘comfort’ and be used.

4. The same circled word cannot be used twice


5. Once they have started writing, they cannot leave the premise until the event is
over
6. Participants failing to submit the poem will not be eligible for participation
points.
7. The students have to submit their poem on or before time. Late submissions will
not be accepted.
8. A second sheet of the same paper will not be provided to the students under any
instances of scribbling out the necessary word, or a mistake in mapping out the
flow of the poem.
9. It is mandatory for students to map out the flow of the blackout poem carefully to
maintain the readability of the poem.
10. Students are advised to use a pencil to create their poetry before finalizing it in
ink.
11. In case of any implications, the decision taken by The Management, Dean of
Student Affairs, The Students’ Council and the faculty will be final.
12. In case of a tie, the cumulative score of creativity and lucidity of poem summary
will be considered

SANGITAM

Participation per class : 4 participants ( Maximum ) : Individual event

Description :

Sangitam is a two-round hindi singing competition. The first round is called Sangeet.
The participants have 60 seconds to impress the judges and make at least 1 out of the 2
judges throw/wave a scarf towards the participants. Top 5 qualifying contestants
proceed to the finals. For the finals, the contestants are given a maximum of 3 minutes
to sing a hindi song of their choice.

Rules :
Round 1 : Sangeet
1. Participants have to sing a Hindi song (only vocals, no karaoke or instruments).
2. They have 60 seconds to impress the judges.
3. The judges will each have a colored scarf with them. If the judges like a particular
participant’s voice, they will throw/wave the scarf towards the participant
4. If 1 out of 2 judges throw/wave their scarf then you are in consideration for the
next round.Final scores of the judges will decide the top participants for the final
round.
5. Participants failing to perform for round 1 will not be eligible for
participation points.
6. Points allotted when the judges throw their scarf in this round:-
a. 0-14 sec: 100 points
b. 15-29 sec: 75 points
c. 30-44 sec: 50 points
d. 45-60 sec: 25 points
7. The top 5 participants will then qualify for the final round.
8. In case of a tie, the participants will be selected on the basis of “Vocal Technique”
judging criteria.

In case of a tie-breaker, judging criteria will be prioritized as per the above sequence.
Round 2 : Finals
1. Top 5 singers will perform at the School Auditorium on the 7th April, 2022.
2. Participants can sing a song of their choice, which has to be in Hindi.
3. Time limit for the song is 3 mins (including setup and the performance). Negative
marking will be assigned if participants exceed the time limit.
4. One accompanist (instrumentalist) will be allowed (he/she won’t be judged).
5. Use of either an instrument or a karaoke track is allowed. If you wish to use a
karaoke track, the audio file should be submitted before 11:59 pm on 6th April,
2022 on studentscouncilcrce21@gmail.com with your name, class name & event
name as subject.
6. Top 3 will be declared

In case of a tie-breaker, judging criteria will be prioritized as per the above sequence.
General rules:
1. All Judges' decisions are final.
2. Arguments with the judges will result in disqualification.
3. Judges will deal with all fouls and misconduct which will be punished accordingly.
4. The Management, Dean of students’ affair and students’ council reserves the
right to edit the rules anytime and disqualify teams for reasons not being stated in
this list or take action.
