The College Student Government of AMYA Polytechnic College, Inc., is


planned to have its first ever College Fest (2024) Celebration with the
subtheme: “Unleash the differences, empower abilities and nurture the
competence.” That will enable all the college students across the different
departments of this institution to have its moment and time to involve,
socialize, participate, and encounter new faces, characters, and
personality from the different students here in our school.

In line with the CSG’s new administration’s goal- to promote equality,


transparency, and harmony. This first ever event will be the first step to
cultivate and develop a healthy and diverse environment for all students.
That will help them on their way to build their future here at AMPOL.

We are humbly asking in your good office to allow us to conduct and make
this event happen. Your support is highly appreciated!

I. Nature of Activity

A. Description:
Under the subtheme "Unleash the differences, empower abilities and nurture the
competence." AMYA Polytechnic College Inc. will celebrate its first ever College Fest this
year . The opportunity to socialize and form relationships with new individuals will be
provided to students through this event. Simultaneously, students will have the
opportunity as well to unwind and recharge by participating in recreational
activities arranged by College Students Government (CSG)officers this institution.

B. Objectives:

1. To encourage a stronger sense of solidarity and camaraderie among AMPOL


college students - BSMLS, BSPh, BSRT, and BSTM and to provide them an
opportunity to establish new connections.
2. To illuminate and unleash the hidden talents and skills of the AMPOLians.
3. To mellow down and decompress from school works.
4. Provide students with an engaging experience that will make them feel satisfied
and engaged.

II. Activity Highlights

The event will run from January 26 to 27, 2024. The first day or the opening day, the
event will be split into two parts: the morning session and the afternoon session. The
morning session will include the following activities: Community Performance/Flash Mob,
Banner Making Contest, Pinoy Henyo, and Jazz Chant.

While for the afternoon session of the initial day will consist of Spoken Word Poetry,
Family Feud, and Drag Contest. (Note: The groupings of all the college students will be
done a week prior of the event. This is to give time for them to prepare and practice.)

For the last day will be the Culmination Day or Awarding Ceremony.

III. Activity Details

Day 1- Morning Session


Date January 26, 2024

Time 8:00 AM -11:00 AM

Venue AMPOL Quadrangle

Reminders  All students from the BSMLS, BSPh, BSRT, and BSTM courses must
be present on the said venue.
 The participants should be present at the venue at-least 30
minutes before the scheduled time for registration.
 There will be 3 panel of judges for all the events.

BANNER MAKING CONTEST

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

1. Each program of the College Department of this institution


must submit four (4) participants.
2. The participant must be bonafide students and currently
enrolled in the 2nd semester of the A.Y. 2023-2024 of this
institution.
3. The competition will be held during the first day of the
College Fest at the AMYAPCI Quadrangle.
4. All Banners must be done on the spot and must be
completed within the allotted rounds.
5. Team players must ONLY use the materials provided by the
organizers.
6. The Banner must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the
theme and give signification to the program represented.
7. The Board of Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.

RULES CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

1. Each department shall have ONE entry only.


2. The team will be given the materials and resources such as
Pencil, Paint Brush, Paint, and Canvas.
3. The team players for each department shall be given 5
minutes to conceptualize and strategize their work.
4. After conceptualizing and strategizing, the participants
shall position themselves in relay 8 feet away from the canvas.
5. Players will take turns applying their concepts to the
canvas.
6. Each player shall be given 3 minutes to execute their plan.
7. After all players get their turns, they will be given a chance
to finalize their work as a team for 2 minutes.
8. After the 2-minute of the finalization time, the output shall
be considered FINAL finished or unfinished.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

Relevance to the theme = 30%


Originality = 25%
Creativity = 20%
Color Harmony = 15%
Visual Impact = 10%
TOTAL =100%

CHARADES

GUIDELINES:

1. The participants must be a bonafide college student of AMYA


POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, INC. They must have their school ID’s or
registration form.
2. Participants must be physically present during the game.
3. Use of Cursing, Derogatory, and Foul words are strictly
prohibited.

MECHANICS:

4. Each group must fall in line, the first person in front will be the
person to perform. The other members will be the one to guess.
Ones the members were able to guess the action, the person in
front must go to the back and it’s time for the first person in line
to perform. Take note: Members of the teams must take turns to
perform and guess.
5. In a bowl, with pre-written charades on slips of paper, the
performer of the team lined in the first column will pick one slip
of paper to select a charade. On the next succeeding rounds,
the performers of the other columns must do the same.
6. The category will be announced to the guessing members, but
the charade must not be announced.
7. Each turn has no time limit, but the first team to guess the action
first, will be the winner. One representative per team will go in
front and say the guess.
8. ACTING RULES: No talking or mouthing words. The performer/s
must only use gestures, miming, and facial expressions.
9. SCORING: A point is awarded for each correctly guessed
charade.
10. NO SKIPPING AND NO PASSING
11. HAVE FUN! Remember, the goal is to have fun and enjoy the
creativity of your friends and classmates.

JAZZ CHANT

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

1. The participants must be a bonafide college student of


AMYA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, INC. They must have their
school ID’s or registration form.
2. Participants must be physically present during the game.
3. Use of Cursing, Derogatory, and Foul words are strictly
prohibited.

MECHANICS:

1. The contest will be participated by group.


2. Each group is given a maximum of 7 minutes to present. For
every increment of one minute of overtime, 1 point will be
deducted from the group’s overall score.
3. The participants must present their assigned piece, minutes
before the start of the competition.
4. Modified jazz chanting means that the group may creatively
repeat certain words, lines, or sentences of the given piece.
Omitting any line of the piece, however, is not allowed.
5. Costumes and props are encouraged.
6. Contestants may bring and use their own materials (non-
electrical/non-electronic only) for sound effects purposes
only.
7. The jazz chant presented must not touch on any sensitive
issues on race, religion. Ideologies or person.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


DELIVERY (Pronunciation, intonation, expression, and interpretation)
30%

STRESS AND RHYTHM (Voice projection and volume) Emotional


Connection (Facial expression and facial projection) 30%

MASTERY (Mastery of the piece is observed. Certainty and sureness


in delivery is manifested.) 20%

CHOREOGRAPHY -10%

COSTUMES, PROPS AND SOUND EFFECTS – 10%

Day 1-Afternoon Session

SPOKEN WORD POETRY


GUIDELINES:

1. Each program in the College Department of this institution must


have one (1) representative.
2. The competition will be held during the last day of the College
Fest at the AMYA PCI Quadrangle.
3. The Spoken word poetry must be an original composition. It
should be written in Filipino, English, or Bisaya but not in
Taglish.
4. The piece must be related to the theme and must not contain
any malicious or offensive content.
5. Each participant has to submit the spoken poetry piece he/she
has originally written a day before the competition to Ms. Leah Mae
Garcia.
6. Sounds, instrumental, or music background are permitted to
supplement the delivery. The music background must be in .mp3
format and submitted one day prior to the competition. If a
participant chooses not to have a musical background, no
deduction will be made.
7. Each participant is given 3-5 minutes to deliver/recite his/her
piece.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

A. Message/ Content (Related to the theme; Relevant; Has


powerful meaning) = 40%
B. Delivery and Performance = 40%
C. Originality = 10%
D. Overall impact =10%
Total = 100%

FAMILY FEUD

GUIDELINES:

1. The participants must be a bonafide college student of AMYA


POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, INC. They must have their school ID’s or
registration form.

2. Participants must be physically present during the game.

3. Use of Cursing, Derogatory, and Foul words are strictly prohibited.

MECHANICS:

1. This game will be played by two teams. The collided teams


must have 2-3 participants from which group they came from.
The teams to be collided will be announced.
2. The are already prepared set of survey questions beforehand.
These questions should have multiple possible answers on a
survey group of people.
3. Face-Off: Start each round with a face-off question. One
member from each team competes to provide the highest-
ranking answer.
4. Team Play: The team that wins the face-off has the option to
play or pass the question to the other team.
5. Answering Questions: Team members take turns providing
answers to fill the board. No consulting among team
members is allowed during this phase.
6. Strikes: Incorrect answers result in a strike. After three strikes,
play passes to the opposing team.
7. Points: Points are awarded based on the number of people
who gave the answer in the survey.
8. Winning the Game: The team with the most points after a
predetermined number of rounds wins the game.

DRAG CONTEST

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

1. Contestants must be enrolled students at AMYA


Polytechnic College and officially registered for the College
Fest Program.
2. The performance duration is limited to a range of 3 to 5
minutes. Any duration exceeding this range will result in a
deduction of 1 point for every additional 5 seconds.
3. Participants have the freedom to select the songs they
wish to lip-sync, provided that the chosen songs do not
contain explicit, malicious or offensive lyrics.
4. Contestants are permitted to integrate extravagant
costumes, makeup, and lavish accessories into their drag
appearance. However, it is strictly prohibited to include any
elements in the outfit or look that are malicious or offensive.
5. Contestants are required to present their chosen "drag
name."
6. Gestures and choreography featured in the drag
performance must prioritize the safety of the participants.
7. Contestants have the option to include a maximum of
three backup dancers to complement their performance.
8. Participants are allowed to incorporate props and various
elements to enhance the extravagance of their
performance.
9. The runners-up will receive a sash and certificate, while
the winner will be awarded a sash, crown.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

a. CREATIVITY (Evaluates the uniqueness and originality of


the performance. Judges will consider the creativity in
costume design, makeup, and overall presentation.)= 20%
b. STAGE PRESENCE (Stage presence assesses the
performer's charisma, confidence, and ability to captivate
the audience. Judges will look for a strong and confident
presence on stage.) = 20%
c. PERFORMANCE SKILLS (Focuses on the technical skills
displayed in the performance, such as lip-syncing, dancing
and any other gestures. Judges will evaluate the execution
and proficiency of the chosen performance style.)= 20%
d. COSTUME AND MAKE-UP (Quality, creativity, and
relevance of the costume and makeup to the overall
performance. Attention to detail, originality, and how well
the look complements the performance will be considered.)
= 15%
e. STORY OR CONCEPT (Evaluates the effectiveness of the
narrative or concept presented in the performance. Judges
will consider how well the performer conveys a story or
theme, and how it enhances the overall entertainment
value.)= 15%
f. AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT (The audience's reaction is a
significant factor in drag performances. Judges will consider
the performer's ability to engage and entertain the crowd,
including the level of applause, cheers, and overall
audience connection.)= 10%

Day 2- Culmination Day

Date January 27, 2023


Time 1:00 PM-4:00 PM and 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

must be present on the said venue.
 The participants should be present at the venue at-least 30
minutes before the scheduled time for registration.
 There will be 3 panel of judges for all the events.

“MGA DIWATA SA AMYA”

GUIDELINES:

1. The participants must be a bonafide college student of AMYA


POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, INC. They must have their school ID’s
or registration form.
2. Participants must be physically present during the event.
3. Take note of the dress code. Participants are encouraged to
follow the attire of their chosen characters; however, they must
make sure it won’t be too revealing.
4. Use of Cursing, Derogatory, and Foul words are strictly
prohibited.
MECHANICS:

1. Each team must have one representative who will be


representing the “DIWATA NG ENCANTADIA 2024.”
2. Each representative can freely choose the Diwata that they will
represent, except Cassiopeia and Ybarro.
3. This is an interactive segment in which each representative will
walk in front of the crowd and will have to creatively introduce their
selves as well as the characters they represent.
4. Their will be a talent portion in which the representatives will
perform in front of the crowd. Their talents must align to the
characters they represent.
5. The judges will choose the top 3 and will be having their Q and
A.
6. The questions of the Q and A will be based on the theme of the
whole event.
7. There will only be one winner and will be announced as the
DIWATA SA AMYA 2024.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

1. Appearance and Stage Presence (20%)

 Elegance: How well the contestant carries themselves in


different characters.
 Confidence: The level of self-assurance shown on stage.
 Poise: Grace and composure under the spotlight.

2. Talent Performance (20%)

 Creativity: Originality, uniqueness, and relevance of the


performance to the character they represent.
 Skill: Level of proficiency in the chosen talent.
 Engagement: Ability to captivate and engage the audience.

3. Diwata Attire Segment (15%)

 Fashion Sense: Choice of attire and how it complements the


contestant.
 Fit and Elegance: How well the attire fits and its overall
elegance.
 Stage Walk: Visual appeal, Carriage, and poise while walking
the stage.
4. Question and Answer Segment (20%)

 Content: Relevance and substance of the answer.


 Clarity: Clear and concise communication.
 Confidence: Ability to maintain poise during questioning.
