GOVERNMENT OFFICERS OF CABATUAN NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH
SCHOOL, HELD ON FEBRUARY 24, 2022, 5:00 P.M. VIA GOOGLE MEET.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022-02

RESOLUTION RESPECTFULLY ASKING PERMISSION TO THE SCHOOL


ADMINISTRATION OF CABATUAN NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH
SCHOOL TO CONDUCT A VIRTUAL HIGH SCHOOL WEEK CELEBRATION HELD
ON MARCH 25-31, 2022.

WHEREAS, Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School annually celebrates its High
School Week Celebration in the month of December or January. However, due to the global
health pandemic, restrictions were imposed, limiting school-based activities. Last year, the
institution made history as the Supreme Student Government conducted its very first virtual high
school week celebration. Despite the challenges, the Supreme Student Government officers
strive to continue the tradition through a virtual setting once more;

WHEREAS, the organization will conduct its second Virtual High School Week Celebration
entitled, HIRINUGYAW: Restoring Hopes, Lifting Spirits. With a theme featuring the
Philippine mythical creature, the Bakunawa and its seven moons;

WHEREAS, this will be a week-long celebration from March 25 (Friday) to March 31


(Thursday);

WHEREAS, this celebration aims to continue the activities the student body is anticipating
every year like quiz bees, talent showcases and many more that were halted by this pandemic.

WHEREAS, this activity will be a way of distressing and unplugging from the usual routine of
the students answering their self-learning modules. It also aims to strengthen the unity of the
students, teachers and staff of the institution. As well as instilling the values of camaraderie and
sportsmanship;

WHEREAS, the Supreme Student Government will ask assistance from teachers in finding
participants for the different contests, encourage students to be active and responsive in the
activity and give recognition to those who participated;

WHEREAS, there will be seven contests that will be conducted in real-time and are pre-
recorded, a week before the actual celebration;
WHEREAS, the organization will be utilizing accessible and safe areas of the campus for them
to: 1) shoot the necessary videos needed for the opening program, various contests and the
closing program; and 2) to conduct contests that need real-time supervision. But the strict
implementation of the minimum health protocols will still be present from the start-up to the end
of the activity;

WHEREAS, there will be various competitions and activities prepared for the entire week;

WHEREAS, this is not compulsory, but students who will be participating in the contests will
be given recognition by the Supreme Student Government;

WHEREAS, the guidelines for each contests are written, respectively;

1) MEME CONTEST

1. The contest is open to all bona fide student of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. The entry must be related to face-to-face or modular learning.
3. Participants can include images to their entries.
4. Offensive and inappropriate language and images, green jokes, and words that imply double
meaning, bullying or violence is NOT ALLOWED.
5. The submission must be an original piece of work.
6. Only one entry is allowed to each contestant.
7. The entries will be posted on the Cabatuan NCHS Supreme Student Government facebook
page and will be judged through number of reactions: HAHA React – 8 points HEART React – 5
points CARE React – 3 points LIKE React – 1 point ANGRY React – 1 point SAD React – 1
point.
8. Entries should be entered as .jpg file.
9. Participants can submit their outputs via Google Drive or by messaging Ma. Fe Grace Bais or
Merl Joyce Lebanan.
10. Participants can submit their entries from March 7, 12:00 a.m. to March 11, 11:59 p.m.
11. Posting and start of online voting will be on March 13. Voting of entries will end on March
17, 11:59 a.m.

2) DOLL MAKING

1. The contest is open to all bona fide students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. The contest will be conducted in a face-to-face setting.
3. A group will consist of two members from the same grade level. A maximum of two groups
per grade level is allowed.
4. Participants will bring their own dolls and can use any materials of their choice (Styrofoam,
clay, paint, cardboard, sculpting tools, etc.).
5. The outfit of the dolls must be based on the theme: "Philippine Mythology".
6. The participants will be given a total of six hours to finish their outputs.
7. The output must be in their own original concept. Pre-made materials and outfit is strictly
prohibited.

3) SPOKEN WORD POETRY

1. This contest is open to all bona fide students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. A maximum of two participants per category from each grade level is allowed.
3. The contestants will prepare their own original piece where they can pick one of the provided
topics from the following;

English:
1. Education amidst Pandemic
2. Frontliners: The Rising Heroes
3. Pollution a Poison to Nature
4. Love and Unity in the Midst of Crisis

Filipino:
1. Edukasyon sa Gitna ng Pandemya
2. Frontliners: Ang Mga Bagong Bayani
3. Polusyon ang Lason sa Kalikasan
4. Pagmamahalan at Pagkakaisa sa Gitna ng Pagsubok

4. The use of vulgar and explicit words in the piece is strictly prohibited.
5. The video should last within the minimum time of two minutes and a maximum of five
minutes. Every 30 seconds exceeding/less will have a penalty of one point deduction in the
contestant’s final score.
6. The video will be submitted in landscape format and the contestant should wear a formal attire
which is suitable for public viewing.
7. The contestants will submit the video of their performance on or before the March 16,
11:59pm. Late entries will not be considered.
8. The contestants may use an instrumental music and background which suits and are
appropriate for their video performance.

4) BATTLE OF THE BRAINS

1. The contest is open to all bona fide students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. The contest will be conducted in a face-to-face setting.
3. A group will consist of two members from the same grade level. A maximum of two groups
per grade level is allowed.
4. The contest consists of three (3) categories: English, Science, and History, respectively.
5. Each category has a different teacher-in-charge to be the Quiz Master.
6. Each category consists of 10 easy questions and five (5) hard questions.
7. One right answer for the easy round is equivalent to one (1) point and two (2) points for the
hard round.
8. The time allotted for one easy question is 30 seconds, and 45 seconds for the hard question.
9. The three participants that garnered the top three highest points overall shall be considered as
winners; first place, second place, and third place respectively. 
10. In cases of ties, three (3) clincher questions of each round will be raised to break the tie. The
mechanics for the Clincher Round will be the same.

5) DOCUMENTARY

1. This contest is open to all bona fide students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. The documentary should depict a life story of a student or any person within Iloilo whom they
think is an inspiration to many.
3. The video must be taken in landscape and in an MP4 format.
4. Opening and/or closing credits could be included in the video (optional).
5. Dialogues can be in any language, as long as subtitles are given for languages other than
Filipino and English.
6. The video should last within the minimum time of three minutes and a maximum of seven
minutes. Every 30 seconds exceeding/less will have a penalty of one point deduction in the
entry’s final score.
7. The entries must be submitted in the Google drive link that will be provided on or before
March 16, 2022.
8. Entries must include the following details: Name/s of the participants, name of production,
grade level and contact details (optional).

6) DANCE CRAZE

1. This contest is open to all bona fide students and teachers of Cabatuan National
Comprehensive High School.
2. The contest consists of two categories: for the students and for the teachers.
2. Each group can only have a maximum of ten (10) members.
3. The choreography can be original or a cover.
4. For the music, it could be any genre (Hip-hop, dance hall, K-pop, etc.).
5. The length of video performance shall be a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of five
minutes.
6. The video must be take n in landscape and in an MP4 format.
7. The entries must be submitted in the Google drive link that will be provided on or before
March 16, 2022.

7) E-SPORTS

1. The contest is open to all bona fide students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High
School.
2. The contest will be conducted in a face-to-face setting.
3. Call of Duty Mobile will serve as the platform of the competition
4. Only the first 12 teams to register will be catered.
5. A team will consist of five players. Players can freely choose their own teammates in forming
a group.
6. Players are responsible for their own equipment (cellphones, extension cord, wifi or data, etc.)
7. All rank levels are accepted.

WHEREAS, the minimum health protocols will be strictly imposed during the preparation and
conduct of the activities like wearing of facemasks, proper and frequent hand washing as well as
physical distancing. Parental consents will also be collected from the Supreme Student
Government officers and student participants who will volunteer and compete during the course
of the activities.

BE IT RESOLVED, as it hereby resolved, to ask permission from the school administration to


allow the Supreme Student Government officers to conduct a virtual High School Week
Celebration on March 25-31, 2022.
