NUTRI – JINGLE CONTEST GUIDELINES

DATE : July 25, 2018
TIME : 12:30 – 1:30 AM
VENUE : Maonon National High School Covered Court
MECHANICS OF THE CONTEST
1. All participants must be a bona fide students of Maonon National High School.
2. Participating group must be composed of five (5) to ten (10) members only.
3. The Nutri – Jingle piece must be focus on this year’s theme: “UGALIING MAGTANIM SAPAT
NUTRISYON AANIHIN”.
4. Each participating group will be given a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of five
minutes time of performance.
5. No accompaniment will be allowed, it shall be purely acapela.
6. Each group must register two (2) days before or earlier than of the contest proper.
7. The criteria for judging are the following:
Originality - 25%
Relevance to the theme - 25%
Voice Quality - 30%
Choreography - 20%
Total 100%
8. There is no prescribe costumes for the contest. Each participating team can decide what
costume they will wear.
9. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and non – appealable.
10. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to the winning groups.

POSTER MAKING CONTEST

TIME : 1:30 – 2:30 AM
VENUE : Grade 7 – Hope Room
2. The competition is open to all MNHS students.
3. The Poster Making Contest must be focus on this year’s theme: “UGALIING MAGTANIM SAPAT
NA NUTRISYON AANIHIN ”.
4. No distinguishing mark or name of the contestant shall appear in the entry.
5. Materials to be used:
a. Illustration Board (1/2), to be provided and prepared by the contestant before the
contest.
b. Medium shall be any or combination of crayons, pastel, charcoal, water color, oil
paint/pastel, poster paint, to be provided by the contestant.
6. Preferably no text/caption but instead the picture itself on the poster should portray the theme
in focus.
8. Criteria for Judging are the following:
Creativity - 20%
Relevance - 30%
Neatness - 15%
Originality - 20%
Over – all Impact - 15%
Total 100%
9. Entries must be submitted after ONE HOUR of working.

SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST

TIME : 9:00 – 12:00 AM
VENUE : Grade 7 – Faith Room
12. The Slogan Making Contest must be focus on this year’s theme: “UGALIING MAGTANIM SAPAT
NA NUTRISYON AANIHIN ”.
4. Materials to be used in slogan making contest are the following:
a. ¼ illustration board
b. Pentel pen
c. Pencil and ruler.
5. The slogan must be in two category; Filipino and English respectively.
7. The slogan shall be judged based on the following criteria:
Relevance to the theme - 40%
Clarity of message - 20%
Creativity - 15%
Originality - 15%
Impact & Presentation - 10%
Total 100%
8. Entries must be submitted after ONE HOUR of working. Posters must be done in free hand.

ESSAY WRITING CONTEST

TIME : 9:00 – 12:00 AM
VENUE : Grade 10 – Mars Room
3. The Essay writing Contest must be focus on this year’s theme: “Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit – For
Life”.
4. The Essay Writing Contest must be in two category; Filipino and English respectively and shall
consist of not less than 500 words not more than 600 words.
7. The following criteria should be applied:
Creativity - 40%
Structure - 20%
Adherence to Topic - 20%
Grammar - 10%
“Wow!” factor - 10%
Total 100%

TABLE SKIRTING CONTEST

TIME : 9:00 – 12:00 AM
VENUE : By respective classrooms
2. Each section shall form a team with five members.
3. Each team will set up a table with table skirting and a centerpiece on the day of the competition,
and set up will be left for display.
4. Competitors shall bring materials of their own (cloth for table skirting, etc.).
5. Table skirting must be applied to all four sides of the table.
7. The following criteria should be applied:
Table Skirting Techniques - 30%
Degree of Difficulty - 20%
Accuracy and Correctness - 15%
Sturdiness/Durability/Stability - 15%
Originality/Relevance to the Theme - 10%
Overall Impact - 10%
Total 100%

NUTRI – QUIZ BEE

TIME : 1:00 – 2:30 P.M
VENUE : MNHS Covered Court
1. All participants must be a bon afide students of Maonon National High School.
2. The coverage of the quiz bee must focus on health, food and nutrition.
3. Each section shall form a team with five (5) members.
4. Each group must register the day of the contest proper.
5. The group will write their answers at the black part of the illustration board.
6. There will be three (3) Rounds in the competition namely: Easy Round, Average Round and the
Difficult Round.
7. The Easy round has five (5) questions worth 2 points, the Average round has five (5) questions
worth 3 points and in the difficult round has five (5) questions worth 5 points.
8. It will be a knock out system.
9. The questions will be read by the quizmaster twice.
10. After the second (2nd) reading, the Quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the groups be allowed
to write their answers. Automatically, the (10) second time-limit for Easy round, fifteen (15)
seconds average round and twenty (20) seconds in the difficult round. They will begin with the
word “go” by the Quizmaster.
11. After the time-limit, the whistle is blown by the time-keeper. The groups must stop writing and
must raise their answer boards.
12. The Quizmaster shall read and verify the groups answer.
13. In case of any questions and protests, it must be directed to the quiz master before he/she
reads the next questions.
14. In case of any tie a clincher round will be given.
15. The group who gets the highest number of points is automatically declared the champion.

COOK FEST

VENUE : Food Laboratory
1. All participants must be a bonafide students of Maonon National High School.

2. It will be participated by the whole grade level.
3. The menu should be composed of appetizer, main dish and dessert.
4. The recipe for the main dish should be fish, meat and vegetables or a combination of all will be
the main ingredients of the recipe.
5. Each participating grade levels will be given a minimum of two and a half (3) hour for the
preparation, cooking and presentation of the dish.
6. Each group must have2 representatives to register two (2) days before or earlier than of the
contest proper.

 20% Cost/economy, availability of added ingredients, ease of preparation
 10% Time management
 10% Presentation

3. They can use any fruit and vegetables.
4. Each participant will be given a minimum of two (2) hours in making their masterpiece.
5. Each participants must register (2) days before or earlier than of the contest proper.

COLOR FUN JOG

TIME : 5:30 – 7:00 AM
VENUE : Miligan, Pio Duran, Albay

2. Participants must jog by pair (tied by the use of a handkerchief).
3. The participants are allowed to choose their pair (according to gender).
4. Wearing Maong Pants during the activity is not allowed or sexy short.
5. NO RUNNING
6. Each participant will jog from the starting point (Miligan) to the finish line(MNHS grounds)
7. Each participant must register a day (1) before or earlier than of the event proper.
8. The criteria for winners are the following:
 Must start at the starting point and are registered.
 If they are the first pair to arrive at the finish line (MNHS Grounds).

 Ang laro ay pwedeng laruin ng dalawa hanngang limang manlalaro gamit ang isang board na
mayroong dalampung tiles.
 Gamit ang isang dice na mayroong bilang na isa hanggang apat ay malalaman kung ilang
hakbang ang gagawin ng manlalaro.
 Sa bawat tile ay mayroong kailangang masagot/magagawa ang manlalaro na tanong/hamon
upang manatili siya sa tile at makakuha ng dalawang puntos.
 Kapag hindi nagawa/nasagot ng manlalaro ang hamon/tanong siya aatras ng isang beses at siya
ay walang makukuhang puntos.
 Ang bawat manlalaro ay mayroong limang RESBAK kung saan binibigyan ng pagkakataon ang
bawat pangkat na tulungan ang kanilang manlalaro sa board.
 Sa mga piling tile ay mayroong nakatago na mga WERPA o kapangyarihan na maaring gamiting
ng manlalalro tulad ng sumusunod:
o WERPA-BANTE – Ang manlalaro ay binibigyan ng kapangyarihan na umabante ng
dalawang tile.
o WERPA-TRAS – Ang manlalaro ay binibigyan ng kapangyarihan na paatrasin ang
kalabang manlalaro ng dalawang beses.
o WERPA-LIT – Ang manlalaro ay binibigyan ng kapangyarihan na papalitan ang kalabang
manlalaro.
 Ang manlalaro na unang makakarating sa mahiwagang baul ang makakakuha ng kayamanan na
nasa loob nito at tatanghalin na panalo ng laro.
