SALUDO
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1.The contest shall open to all participating teams.


2. Each participating teams shall render an entrance in
marching from the designated starting point and should
not stop until such time that they start the Saludo
Performance bringing the prescribed team banner for
identification.
3. Athletes are expected to join the entrance.
4. The Saludo performance shall be executed for a
maximum of 2(two) minutes excluding the entrance and
exit. Entrance and exit should be snappy, quick and fast.
5. Musical accompaniment is allowed during the actual
performance.
6. Choreography of executions are limited to yells,
dancing, coordination of hands and body movements, but
not limited to clapping and bowing. Performers shall only
move forward, backward and progressive sideward.
7. Stunts movements such as cartwheels, front and back
rolls and formations such as pyramids are strictly
prohibited.

BANDERITAS MAKING
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1. The contest is open only to all students under the


College of Teacher Education, NEMSU – Main Campus.
2. Each program is required to join the contest and there
shall be 7 groups of participants: BSEd (English, Science,
Filipino, Mathematics), BEEd, BECEd, and BPEd.
3. The banderitas must be able to embody the theme.
4. Banderitas making shall start on Sept. 07, 8:00 and ends
on Sept. 10, 8:00 PM.
5. Use of recyclable materials is highly encouraged.
6. All banderitas shall be on display before Sept. 10, 2023.
7. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

BULLETIN BOARD MAKING


Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1. The contest is open only to all students under the


College of Teacher Education, NEMSU – Main Campus.
2. Each program is required to join the contest and there
shall be 7 groups of participants: BSEd (English, Science,
Filipino, Mathematics), BEEd, BECED, and BPEd.
3. The bulletin board must be able to embody the theme
and its relation to their respective program.
4. The contents of the bulletin board shall contain the
following but not limited to: Constitution and By-Laws
(CBL), List of Officers and Organizational Structure,
Calendar of Activities, and Announcement.
5. Bulletin board making shall start on Sept. 07, 8:00 and
ends on Sept. 10, 8:00 PM.
6. Use of recyclable materials is highly encouraged.
7. All bulletin boards shall be on display before Sept. 10,
2023.

LIVING EXHIBIT
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1.The Living Exhibit contest must be participated by the


different YEAR LEVEL of the College of Teacher Education.
2.The Living Exhibit must have 1 Female Participant in each
year level.
3.The Living Exhibit must have a model who is a student of
the participating year level. The model serves as the
bearer of the materials of the exhibit.
4.The model should prepare an INTRODUCTORY SPEECH in
TAGALOG LANGUAGE that explains the concept and
relevance of their Living Exhibit. The model is only given (2)
two minutes to deliver the speech. The exceeding seconds
will be deducted to the points of the living exhibit. 30
seconds exceeding is a 1-point deduction.
5.The Living Exhibit must be decorative, unique and the
relevance into Encantadia Character (Amihan) is being
presented. The presentation of Headdress depends on the
chosen Sanggre.

6.Using recycled and recyclable materials is a must. (70%


is made of recycled and recyclable materials, 30% is
made of other expenses.)
7.Two-piece of clothing for the female model depends to
the chosen character.
8.The use of Harmful Materials is not allowed in the
competition.
9.The concept of beautifying the Living Exhibit must suit
the Encantadia character.
10. The making of the Living Exhibit must be done within the
CTE building.
11. The decision of the board of Judges is final and
irrevocable.

Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1.The contest is open to all students in the College of


Teacher Education, NEMSU - Main Campus.
2.The contest must be participated by the different year
level of the College of Teacher Education.
3.Each participant must consist of 2 males and 3 females.
4.The scene should not exceed 5 minutes.
5.Participants will imitate the scenes in the video that will
be presented during the contest.
6. The participants will translate the given dialogue into
Bisaya during the contest proper.
7.Emphasis must be placed on the lines of the characters
in the scene.
8.The one with the best imitation of the given scene will be
the winner of this contest
9.The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

BENCH CHEERING
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1.The competition is open to all year levels of the


College of Teacher Education.
2.Teams will be organized by year level.
3.Each group must consist of a minimum of 50
members and a maximum of 100 members.
4.The performance duration should be between a
minimum of 2 minute s and a maximum of 3 minutes.
Teams who exceed the 3-minute time limit or fall short
the 2-minute minimum time limit will receive a
deduction of 1 point from their total score by every 3
seconds.
5.All types of props are allowed.
6. The decision of the judges is final and cannot be
appealed.

RADIO BROADCASTING
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1. Each radio broadcast team shall be composed of seven


(7) members. The team shall decide who shall act as
director, anchor, two (2) field reporters,
scriptwriter/timekeeper, technical person, and infomercial.
2.Each team shall write their own script for a 5 - minute
newscast in ENGLISH and FILIPINO. Scripts should be based
on the news items provided. The team shall be responsible
for ranking these items according to their news values. A
specific time will be allotted for this which will be
announced before the contest.
3.There will be separate teams for English and Filipino
category.
4.Each team shall make four (4) original copies of the
script. One copy for use in its presentation during the radio
broadcast contest and three copies to be submitted to the
proctor for the reference of the panel of judges. No scripts
revision shall be allowed once the contest proper started.

RADIO BROADCASTING
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

5.The participants will be given 2 hours (9:00 AM – 11:00


AM) to prepare a script for a 5-minute radio broadcast,
that includes an infomercial, which may depict health,
environment, politics and social issues, and four (4) news
articles, which may be based on press releases, raw data,
or any involvement in school activities. Infomercials shall
not be pre-recorded and shall be aired live.
6. The script should include the names of the members of
the team with their job assignment/contribution (i.e.
anchor, news presenter, etc.).
7.Scripts should be:
encoded using Arial font size 12
with directorial instructions in capital letters
double-spaced with normal margin (1inch on all sides)
printed in A4 bond paper
8. Each team shall be given eight (8) minutes: two (2)
minutes of which for preparation, five (5) minutes for the
actual broadcast and one (1) minute for exit. Provided
running time shall be applied.

RADIO BROADCASTING

9. The order of presentation shall be done by drawing of


lots.
10.The organizers shall provide a wall clock or a timer,
which will serve as the official time that can be seen by the
contestants and the judges. There will be an official time
keeper.
11.A yellow flaglet shall be raised to signal the team that
they have one (1) minute left for preparation. The green
flaglet shall then be raised to signal the team to start. The
yellow flaglet shall be raised again to warn the team that
they only have one (1) minute remaining followed by the
red flaglet to indicate that their time is up.
12. Every 5 seconds of over/under time of a team makes
will have a corresponding deduction of 1 point and shall be
made by the judges.
13.The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Original Pilipino Music (OPM) song, either English or
Filipino/Visayan. Published regional songs with
translations are allowed. Rearrangement of an OPM song
is allowed. Revival or adaptations from foreign
compositions is disallowed.
5.Singing shall be accompanied by a minus one. Multiplex,
karaoke/videoke, and live accompaniment shall not be
allowed. Soft/electronic copy (MP3/MP4 format) shall be
submitted to the host institution/head master of the
contest a day prior to the contest for compilation.

STREET DANCE
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

1.Only bona fide CTE students are qualified to join the


contest
2. The team must be composed of minimum of seven (7)
and maximum of nine (9) participants.
3.Contestant/s are permitted to mix and bring music of
their choice (Original Filipino Music).
4.The routine must be performed, in its entirety to the
music selected, prepared and submitted by the group.
5. The contest piece must be three (3) minutes but not
more than five (5) minutes
6.Contestant/s should include in their performance a
broad selection of street dance styles (locking, popping,
bboying/bgurling (breaking), watching/punking,
vogueing, house dance, party dances or club – popular or
trendy dances- hip hop dance/choreography, krumping,
steeping/gumboots, dancehall) without excessive use of
the same move or pattern. A varied range of styles should
be shown in the choreography of arm, leg and body
movement. No body drop is allowed and all lifting should
be supported.

STREET DANCE
Mechanics and Rules of the Contest:

7.Attire may include accessories such as hats, caps,


gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. Removing pieces of clothing
during the performance is allowed provided it is not
offensive or out of character. Appropriate clothing should
be observed in the competition.
8.Any move where the competitors’ weight is solely on the
neck/ head i.e. head spins, head stands, tumbling and
tossing, etc. is not allowed.
9.Lifting is allowed up to the first level.
10.Performers should not wear any identifying marks of
their college.
11.A violation of any of the ground rules will be subjected to
disqualification.
12.Deliberation of the members of the board of judges will
be done prior to the announcement of winners.
13.Decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
