Guidelines:
Objectives: This activity is aimed to conduct a School Based Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest and
specifically;
a. Helps students further develop their social skills, cooperation, teamwork, physical
literacy, and overall health.
b. Sustaining unity and camaraderie through this event.
c. Helps students practice the art of winning, losing and teamwork.
Eligibility:
Application Process:
List of official Mr and Ms. Intramurals contestants must be submitted this October 13,
2023 Friday.
Include criteria for selection (e.g., sportswear 30%, long gown 10%, team costume 30%,
audience impact 15 %, Q and A 15 %)
Categories:
Decide on the different categories for the competition (e.g., Sports Attire, Talent
Showcase, Long Gown, Q&A, and Team Costume).
Attire:
Specify the dress code for each category (e.g., sports attire, long gown, team costume).
Talent Showcase:
The performance must have a duration of 1 minute only. If the performance exceeds,
the operator will STOP the music.
Sports Attire:
Participants must engage in the specified sport/activity with sportsmanship and respect
for fellow participants.
Judging Criteria:
Judging will be based on predefined criteria (e.g.,sportswear 30%, long gown 10%, team
costume 30%, audience impact 15 %, Q and A 15 %) ).
The decisions of the judging panel are final and not subject to appeal.
Confidentiality:
Participants and judges are expected to keep all scoring and deliberations confidential.
Disqualification:
Participants may be disqualified for any violation of the rules or for behavior deemed
inappropriate.
Audience Conduct:
Spectators are expected to show respect and support for all participants.
Safety Measures:
Safety of participants and attendees is a top priority. Any unsafe behavior will not be
tolerated.

Emergency Procedures:
Feedback from participants, judges, and attendees will be used to improve future
events.
Mechanics:
1. Planning Committee:
Form a committee responsible for organizing the event. This committee should include
teachers, students, and possibly parents or community members.
2. Selection Process:
Hold auditions or tryouts to select participants. This can be based on criteria like talent,
personality, and sportsmanship.
3. Judges:
Select a panel of judges who are impartial, fair, and have experience in events like this.
Consider inviting teachers, alumni, or local celebrities.
Prepare certificates, trophies, or other prizes for the winners and participants.
5. Event Schedule:
Create a detailed schedule for the entire event, including rehearsals, the actual
competition, and any other activities or performances.
Ensure there are proper security measures in place. Assign volunteers or security
personnel to oversee the event.

Market the event to the entire school community. Use posters, social media, and

Organize practice sessions for participants, especially for talent showcases and Q&A

sportsmanship.
9. Documentation:
Send thank-you notes to sponsors, judges, participants, and all those who contributed
