1. The COVID-19 pandemic has created the largest disruption of education system in history. As more
than 24 million public school students begin unprecedented venture of distance and blended learning.
Voluminous activity sheets and Self-Learning Modules used in distance learning tend to overwhelm
the learners as well as their parents and teachers. The new education system has brought
extraordinary challenges and no one knows when it will end. As part of their performance task as
stipulated in DepEd Order No. 31, s. 2020. Virtual activities are particularly useful in inspiring our
learners to engage in curricular and extra-curricular activities despite the global crisis.

Sta. Teresita National High School will conduct a virtual and face to face performances showcasing
different talents and skills of students.

2. Objectives
a. Launching of Project Tipid- Transforming Idle Places into Instagrammable Domain
b. To encourage ALL students to actively participate in different activities of the school.
c. To showcase the talents and skills of students.
d. To uplift the morale of the Theresiano learners in this time of pandemic.

3. General Guidelines of the Competitions


a. The competitions are open to all bonafide students in Sta. Teresita National High School.
b. All Students and participants must be vaccinated and present a vaccination card to the guard
on duty before entering the school premises and must secure a waiver/parent consent from
their parent. However, unvaccinated students/participants are advised to seek medical certificate
from the municipal doctor due to health issues, for their inclusion to Literary Musical Contest,
Tiktok C and Mobile legends ONLY.

c. Students/ participants MUST NOT HAVE INCOMPLETE GRADES in 1st quarter and 2nd quarter.
d. Junior high school competition is per grade level and for senior high school is per cluster.
e. Follow the proper IATF health protocols.
f. Competitions will be in Face-to-face interaction and audience is allowed per schedule.
g. The decision of the Board of Judges is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.
h. All participants and winners will be given a Certificate of Recognition and Participation.

4. Fund Raising Activity- MR. and Ms. STNHS 2022


a. Objectives
- To showcase unity and oneness of STNHS Family
- Renovation/beautification of Socio-Cultural Office
- To augment the expenses of teachers and administrators in the implementation of Basic
Education Learning Continuity Plan.
b. Strategies
1. Each adviser must scout one (1) male candidate and one (1) female candidate.
2. Each candidate must have the quota of 500.00
3. Adviser who failed to have a candidate is subjected to 2,000.00 penalty.
4. Percentage of the Raised Fund
In excess of quota (500) per candidate
4.1. Below 10,000 - Take All
4.2. 10,001--- 15,000- 50% (Parent/Candidate) and 50% Management (Admin. 20%,
Club 40% & Classroom 40%)
4.3. 15,001 -– 20,000 – 60% (Parent/Candidate) and 40% Management (Admin. 20%,
Club 40% & Classroom 40%)
4.4. Above 20,000- 70% (Parent/Candidate) and 30% Management (Admin. 20%, Club
40% & Classroom 40%)
4.5. Five 5 candidates for both male and female shall be awarded. (Mr. and Ms. STNHS
2022, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Runner-up).
4.6. Below 10,000 attire must be shouldered by the winning candidates. Above 10,001
automatically management will provide the attires of the winning candidates.

5. BIKING: A FUN WAY TO BOOST FITNESS


Fun Bike for a Cause

Objectives:
1. Increase the quality of life and number of theresiano that exercise daily by providing safe
walking and biking experiences.
2. Increase eco-tourism in the town by attracting people that are looking for recreational
activities.
3. Procure sports equipment and improve facilities.

Guideline and Mechanics

a. The said fun bike will be conducted on March 29, 2022 at 5:00 am. The Start and Finish
point will be at the Sta. Teresita National High School Grounds.
b. The assembly time will be at 5;00 am (STNHS Grounds) and gun start will be at exactly
6:00 am biking time will cover 2-3 hrs.
c. There are eight (8) Water and Aid Station. Water ad Aid Stations contains facilitators
who will provide sufficient water and first aiders who will assist the bikers in times of
emergency.
d. Patterned from the eight (8) water and aid stations, there will be 8 stations arising that the
participants will collect 8 different-colored ribbons as mark that they have passed already
the stations.
e. The STNHS organizing committee reserve the right to change, add or delete some of this
information for the smooth operation of the fun bike
f. Registration fee with free snack, bib and sticker:
Junior Category (13-17) – Php 150.00
Senior Category (18 and above)- Php 200.00
g. No Helmet, No Facemask, No Ride!
h. There will be a Search for Top 5 Best Cycling Outfit. Winners will be given cash prizes
and Certificate of Recognition.

SOCIO-CULTURAL COMPETITION

1. FOLKDANCE- VALSE CAGAYANA

The objective of this competition is to promote appreciation and understanding on culture and arts thru
dances

MECHANICS:

a. Competition Participant:
-Junior High School Students
b. There should be three (3) to five (5) pairs (male and female).
c. One music will be used.
d. It is understood that the groups/ dancers must interpret/ adhere to the standards of the dance piece
that includes music, costume, props and gestures/ steps ( following the literature of the dance.

c. The piece must be at last three (2) minutes but not more than five (5) minutes.
d. Appropriate attire should be observed in such as hat, caps, gloves, scarves jewelries ect.
e. Removing of piece of clothing during the performance is allowed provided it is not offensive or out
of character.
f. Music preference can be 1 song or remix.

a. Dance Craze Challenge- Duo (2)
b. Work-out/ Exercise/ Physical Activity Challenge-
Group (min. 3 & max 5)
c. Hair and Make-up Challenge – LGBTQ+ Solo (1)
3. Tiktok videos will be submitted to Mr. Reygle Yapit.
4. Rules for the videos
a. Video length
-Dance Craze- 2 mins.
-Work-out/ Exercise/ Physical Activity Challenge 3mins
- Hair and Make-up Challenge- 1min.
b. The time of performance should not exceed beyond the indicated duration. (a one-point
deduction in every second exceed in their performance; let say 02:01, automatically one
(1) point is deducted from the total score
c. Appropriate sound/music
d. No profanity
e. Nudity is strictly prohibited
f. Keep it school appropriate

Guidelines and Mechanics

NOTE: Names of Candidates for Junior High School and Senior High School must be submitted on or before March
16, 2022 until 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon and on March 17, 2022 Candidates are requested to attend the
Orientation at STNHS Audio-visual Room 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

A. Over-all Guidelines
1. The candidates must be a bonafide students of STNHS
2. Junior High School per grade level must have two (2) both male and female representative for the pageant. Senior
High School Department should have eight (8) candidates for male and (8) candidates female.
3. The year level chairman must appoint one Teacher coordinator who will accompany the candidates during their
scheduled rehearsals, pre-pageant and other related activities that are duly endorsed and approved by the principal.
4. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in cases of any untoward behavior that
would cause disturbance of the scheduled activity.
5. Prior to the pageant day, there will be Pre-pageant day for Sports Attire and Talent Portion
Note: that whoever will be the winner for talent portion will present on Pageant proper
6. Question and Answer Portion for the Semi-Final Round is in a form of HASHTAG Words, candidates to
explain/ponder/elaborate.
7. Points breakdown for each portion for the Semi-Final Round of the pageant will be as follows:

Note: The Best Sports Attire and Best School Uniform would consider special awards on final pageant.

TALENT PORTION
11. The Talent and Sports attire competition shall be held on a separate date but prior to the pageant day. The
presentation of the talent and casual shall heed the following
guidelines:
- The presentation is in a pair form, but they can have back up dancer’s if they Want
- This portion is limited to a maximum of two minutes per contestant.
- Contestants are not able to wear and to use harmful props/materials which can harm them and other people. They can
wear whatever they feel comfortable in performing their talent.

2. Points Breakdown for the Talent Portion will be as follows:

-Ability to do the activity or skills required, Rhythm, Appropriate gestures, Memorization, Artisticdelivery
b. Uniformity (20%)
- Synchronized movement and consistency in formation

- Stage personality Poise, Confidence, Expression, Gestures and Stage presence

LITERARY MUSICAL CONTEST

SOLO/ DUET
1. 2 contestants per grade level, two (2) solo and two (2) duet.
2. The piece must be Original Pilipino Music (OPM) either tagalog or English, medley is not allowed.
3. The performer must bring his/her own accompaniment during the contest proper.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING PERCENTAGE

2. Diction and timing 30%
3. Stage Presence 20%
4. Overall impact 10%

SPOKEN WORD POETRY COMPETITION


MECHANICS/ GUIDELINES
1. Each grade level must have one (1) to two (2) entries for the competition.
2. The spoken word poetry should be written in Filipino, English or Ilocano . (The use of Taglish is not allowed).
3. The entry must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme and must not contain any malicious and offensive
content. You can choose only One (1) to the following themes :
“ Mga Alaala ng Nakalipas” (Unforgettable moments in school or student’s life before pre-pandemic).
Kamusta Na ikaw ? : Mental Health Awareness
4. Each contestant has to submit a video of the delivery of the spoken poetry piece he/she has written. The overall
video output must not exceed three (3) minutes.
5. Actual photos or videos of school activities or memorable segments as a student can be added to the video.
6. Sounds, instrumental or music background is allowed to complement the delivery. No deduction shall be made if
the contestant chooses not to have musical background.
7. The video shall be submitted on the scheduled date.
8. The contestants will be judged using the criteria below:
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
A. Message/Content -45%
-The content of the spoken poetry illustrates, interprets, and emphasizes the theme.
-The piece has a powerful and meaningful message to the audience. He/ She may use imagery to add color and capture
audience’s heart.
B. Delivery and Performance, Video Quality- 45%
The spoken piece is delivered as to what emotion is asked in the piece.
 Connection to the audience was established from the start.
 Facial expression, hand and body gestures emphasized the different elements of the performance.
 Eye contact pulled the audience to the message of the spoken words.
 Audience’s attention and interest were captured and sustained throughout the delivery.
 Pronunciation and enunciation sound natural and clear. Audience can understand what is being spoken.
 Words are pronounced distinctly and correctly. Does not stutter nor stammer.
 The video and the audio are clear. The video must not be blurred nor distorted. The music or background music
must complement the piece. The volume of the background music or instrument must not cover the voice of the
presenter.
C. Power View on Facebook and Youtube -10%
 The attire must complement contestant’s piece.
 The voice, articulation, dramatic appropriateness, and evidence of understanding all seem on target and unified to
breathe life into the piece.

POSTER MAKING CONTEST


Guidelines, Mechanics and Criteria
1. The grade level must have one (1) to two (2) entries for the competition.
2. The artists must provide their own materials for the contest.
3. The artist shall use ¼ illustration board and any color & drawing materials.
4. The entry must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme and must not contain any malicious and
offensive content. You can choose only one (1) to the following themes:
a) “ Mga Alaala ng Nakalipas” (Unforgettable moments in school or student’s life before pre-pandemic).
b) Kamusta Na ikaw? : Mental Health Awareness
5. Upon submission, the participant should provide the following information:
a) Title of the poster
b) Name and Grade Level
6. Criteria
a) Creativity and Presentation- 40%
b) Originality- 30%
c) Relevance to the theme- 15%
d) Neatness of the Art- 15%

PHOTULA CONTEST
Guidelines and Criteria
1. The grade level must have Three (3) to five (5) entries for the competition.
2. The contest have two category- English category and Tagalog Category
3. Each Participants can only submit one entry and all entries must be original material taken by the photographer.
4. Photographer shall be called on ________________________________ for the one day photo shoot around the
campus premises.
5.There should be a title as well as short description or poem upon submission and the entry should be in a JPG or
PNG format, it may be in landscape or portrait.
6. Email content:
Name of Participant: Brief description/ poem: The Photo:
7. The Photo Entry should depict the theme “Paghubog sa Kabataang Pilipino Tungo sa Ikauunlad ng Batang
Teresiano”. The entry should be a raw, basic editing including colour enhancement, the use of filters and cropping is
acceptable, provided such editing does not affect the authenticity and genuineness of the photo.
7. Entries will be posted on the Facebook page of STNHS.
8. The participant should only use android mobile phone as form of Photo-capturing device.
9.Winners shall be determined by the respective board of Judges. Online shares and/or reactions will have no bearing
in the judging process. The decision of the Judges is final and irrevocable.
10.In the event of a tie, an additional “tie breaker” Judge will determine the Winner from among all such tied entries
using the Judging criteria.
11. The following criteria shall be used in judging:
RELEVANCE TO THE POEM- 25% (How well the photo interprets the poem)
CREATIVITY- 25% (How the photographer showed some creative thoughts. How the subject matter is pictured in a
unique and interesting way)
TECHNIQUE- 25%(Use of elements of photography. Whether the photo showed balance in light, focus, depth of
field, etc.)
OVERALL IMPACT- 25% (Whether the photo was able to grab and hold the viewers’ attention. Is there a “wow”
factor)

SPORTS EVENTS

General Guidelines
1. The Sports event shall follow the international Rules and Regulations of the game.
2. Knock-out system/ Single Elimination will be used.
3. Grade level is allowed to have two (2) entries for Basketball 3x3 only.
4. Junior High School will play all the listed sports. Senior High School may choose 3 sports to be
played.
5. Tournament mangers are responsible for the facilities and equipment to be used for the tournament
with the help of MAPEH Teachers and Administrators.

1. The grade level must have two (2) pairs for Latin and two (2) pairs for Standard.
