Narrative Report
District Sports Competition 2023

I. Introduction

In support to the Department's thrust of promoting the holistic development


of its learners through sports, all schools are encouraged to organize their
respective school sports clubs, adopting mandatory sports and preferred
sports based on context.
Schools are encouraged to participate in sports events in District Meet Level
in which they can compete and advance to the next level of competitions,
Division Meet.

II. Objectives

1. Strengthen partnership between the parents and the school.


2. To provide wholesome and healthy activities for recreation and relaxation
from strenuous schoolwork and provide a safe environment for students
3. To provide equipment, facilities and encourage wholesome participation in
many sports activities by students
4. To provide an opportunity to learn the important values developed
through team spirit and cooperation.
5. To provide an opportunity to make social contacts and friendships which
could not readily be developed in the classroom.
6. To provide the opportunity for every student regardless of his/her ability
to realize the joy and fun of participation in their favorite sport.

III. Narrative Report/Accomplishment Report

In accordance with DepEd Memorandum No. 005, 2023, both elementary


and secondary schools participated in the District Sports Competitions and
municipal Meet held on January 27–28, 2023.

All schools from Nasugbu West District have joined. There were coaches,
teachers, officials, and even the parents of the participants who supported
and coordinated with each other to make this event successful. Bunducan
National High School, as the main tournament manager in baseball, did
their best to make this activity happen and productive.

District, joined in on this event. The sports coordinator, Sir Ian C. Lopez,
coordinated with the teachers with the support of the school's officer-in-
charge, Sir Joel D. Abreu. Coaches led their athletes to the competition.
Even the parents of the participants supported them.

There were two sports that the institution focused on: baseball and track
and field. In the aforementioned sports, 37 people competed.

Luckily, the Baseball Boys got the second place, and, in the track and field,
one participant won the third place.
