ACTIVITY DESIGN

ACTIVITY: Provincial Athletic Meet 2024

LOCATION: Cantilan, Surigao del Sur

DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION: February 17-21, 2024

RATIONALE:

The Department of Education implements programs and projects for the

total development of all learners. Curricular and co-curricular activities are
designed to enable them to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully
to nation building.

Sports activities form part of the co-curricular aspect of education which

aims for the physical and holistic development of school children.

To apply what have been learned in school and in special training

interventions, the Unit - 3 Athletic Association composed of the municipalities of
Lingig, Hinatuan, Tagbina, Barobo and Lianga is participating in the 2024 Provincial
Athletic Meet in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur on February 17-21, 2024, with the theme,
“Malakas na Kabataan at MATATAG na Edukasyon tungo sa Maunlad na Bansa”.

METHODOLOGY:

 Unit Association Officials Online Meeting.

 Meeting with all qualified coaches and chaperons.
 Preparation of required documents.
 Remittance of agreed contributions per municipality.
 Training of qualified athletes in the identified training venues.
 Monitoring of training activities.
 Evaluation of training results/progress.
 Participation to the 2024 Provincial Athletic Meet.
 Post Provincial Meet Unit evaluation.
