PROJECT RUNWAY RULES AND GUIDELINES 2024

1. All participants should be bonafide Grade 10 students of Urdaneta City National High
School.
2. Chosen representatives should know what it takes to become a runway model. Good
body posture and modeling skill are seen to be an advantage in the selection
process.

RULES and GUIDELINES

1. Each group’s design should be their own original work. Plagiarism of design should
not be tolerated.
2. Students should use recyclable materials for their designs such as plastic bottles,
newspapers, disposable spoon and fork, plastics, etc.
3. Each group is required to create a casual and formal attire for both male and female.
4. Each group should choose one pair only as model.
5. Designs could be evaluated based on creativity, execution, relevance to the required
attire, aesthetic appeal, and wearability.
6. All the model participants are given an opportunity to use accessories during the
runway given that it is also made up of a recyclable material.
7. The sequence will be determined by the management via drawing of lots.
Model: *Students should all wear undergarments, spandex under their outfits. We don’t
want any malfunction on the runway.

Any violation of the above rules and guidelines of the competition will lead to one
(1) point deduction from each judge’s score sheets. The decision of the judges is final and
irrevocable.
 CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

50% Creativity/Style and Originality: The judges appreciate when contestants are
able to come up with unique, innovative designs that stand out from the rest.
15% Execution: How well the garment is constructed is another important factor.
The judges look for clean, professional-level sewing and construction.
15% Relevance: The design should be relevant to the given required attire.
10% Aesthetic appeal: The design should be visually appealing. This can be
subjective, but the judges are usually looking for a design that is stylish and
fashionable
10% Wearability: The design is something that could realistically be worn.
