Notice No.: 19/2022, for the Students of MMS 2021-23, Sem -II, Dated June 24th, 2022

Sub: UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES

Dear Students,

As per AICTE: UHV is not a course but a way of living. Every college affiliated with AICTE is required to a course
on Universal Human Values.

1. The objective of this course is to impart Universal Human Values that students would like to pursue during their
two years at WeSchool. They will develop a holistic perspective based on self-exploration about themselves
(human beings), family, society, and nature/existence. It will help the student to understand and develop clarity of
the harmony in the human being, family, society, and nature/existence. It will help the students in applying the
understanding of harmony in existence in their profession and lead an ethical life. They would be able to apply
what they have learned to themselves in different day-to-day settings in real life, at least a beginning would be
made in this direction.

2. The course curriculum of MMS- Semester II includes a mandatory course, titled ‘Universal Human Values’.
Accordingly, every student is required to attend and complete the course.

3. The methodology of the course will include lectures interspersed with Polls, Q &A, Assignments, Documentaries,
lectures by Eminent speaker, creative practices, mini projects, etc.

4. It is a compulsory course, and every student needs to go through course. Certificates will be issued to all
successful students who:
a) Attend at least 90% of the sessions
b) Participate in the sessions (respond to reflection questions etc.)
c) Submit their: Pre-course survey, Daily assignments (may be done individually, with family and
colleagues), post-course self-evaluation, Post-course feedback, Post-course survey.

5. It is expected that the students attend 100% of lectures for the successful completion of the course. Students
who fail to attain the lectures shall be debarred from appearing in the end Semester examination.
If certain authorized institutional activities/events and personal sickness, keep the students away from the
lecture/s then such authorized / genuine cases can be considered for giving attendance credit by ADC provided
the students keep the ADC informed in advance through email, telephone, etc and submit the prescribed
attendance credit form to ADC within the prescribed period following the absence for the lecture/s.
Students are cautioned to take specific note of this notice to avoid facing unpleasant situations just before the
examination

6. Faculty members have often pointed out instances of students using their mobiles during the lectures thereby
disturbing the process of teaching. In this matter, students are advised to switch off the mobile in the classroom
before the commencement of the lecture and not to make use thereof till the end of the lecture.

7. You are advised to observe the following dress code during the lectures: -
a. Male Students:
i.Decent full-length trousers with Blazer and formal shoes.
b. Female Students:
ii: Decent full-length trousers with Blazer and formal shoes, Full length Salwar Kameez and formal
sandals/shoes.

9. General instruction for sessions:


a) ADC will be scheduling the lectures.
b) ADC will share the schedule on We World.
c) Students are expected to be seated in their respective lecture rooms 10 mins prior to the mentioned lecture
timing.
d) It is important to be attentive and participate in all the polls and quizzes given by the faculty during the
lecture.
e) Attendance and internal marks will also be linked to class participation, participation in polls and quizzes

10. All communication from students must be done on email ID uhv@welingkar.org only. Communications with
regards to ADC should be emailed on the below given email ids:

Students will mark emails on their respective program ids with cc to: Ms. Rupal Choudhari
(rupal.choudhari@welingkar.org) and uhv@welingkar.org

Correspondence done on any other email id can get ignored and result in inaction.

11. List of student subject assistants is given in the subsequent sheets (Appendix).
Student subject assistants are cautioned to observe the following code of conduct:

a) Students will collect the attendance sheet for their respective batches from ADC before the lecture
starts.

b) Student subject assistants will mark the attendance twice in the day i.e
i) Morning: 5 mins before the lecture starts
ii) Afternoon: post lunch, 5 mins before the lecture starts
Strict action will be taken against the student subject assistant if any misconduct is found while
marking the attendance.

c). Student subject assistants will not approach faculty to reschedule (postpone / prepone) or cancellation
of lecture/s.

d). Student subject assistants mentioned first will be the primary coordinator& student named second
will be the standby assistant.
