About Us:

Prof.V.B.Shah Institute of Management, R.V.Patel College of Commerce (English


Medium), V.L.Shah College of Commerce (Gujarati Medium) and Sutex College of
Computer Application is a self-financed college affiliated to the Veer Narmad South
Gujarat University, Surat. Prof.V.B.Shah Institute was started in the year 1998 with a
view to churn out management professionals. A progressive academic record has been
maintained in this regard. The R.V.Patel College of commerce which was started in
the year 2001 offers the B.Com degree programme in English; whereas the V.L.Shah
college of Commerce started in the year 2006, offers the B.Com degree programme in
the Gujarati medium. The Sutex College of Computer Application started in the year
2008 provides opportunities to one and all to avail educational opportunities.
The entire academic year is replete with academic, extra and co-curricular activities,
sporting events, guest lectures, seminars and workshops. A significant goodwill has
been created by the institute among its stakeholders. The teaching-learning process is
student-centred; thereby ensuring interactive and experiential learning.
The institute is proud to have a qualified, competent and an industrious staff. They
assist the students in unleashing their talents and exhibiting their skills. The
perspective institutional plan is collectively chalked out by the Principal, members of
the managing trust (JivanJyot Trust, Amroli), the faculty members as well as the
administrative staff. Industrial visits and practical tasks help the students a great deal
in supplementing their learning. Students are also given ample of scope to sharpen
their entrepreneurial skills. The Institute takes pride in stating that it focuses on the
optimal use of resources available and takes all the measures for quality enhancement
and quality sustenance.
About Zeal:

Prof. V. B Shah Institute of Management presents Zeal 2019, on February 1st,2019.


It’s been 14 years we are organizing management event and giving platform to
students for showcasing their skills with your support. This year we present 9 events
we hope to fullest that this year also Zeal 2019 will be mega success with VNSGU
affiliated colleges; hereby we present you the pamphleteer of Zeal 2019 .

GENERAL RULES:

1. Registration fees (Including Lunch) is Rs. /- per participant. (Cash only)

2. Fees to be paid at the registration desk at venue. (Registration fees is non-refundable)

3. Participating college should send their entries online/offline before 25th Feb 2019.

4. All participants should report till 8.00a.m. On 1stFebruary, 2019.

5. Participants should carry college ID cards.

6. Names once register will not be changed or cancelled.

7. In case of any misconduct, indiscipline during the event the participant/ team will be disqualified.
(No participation certificate should be issued to them)

8. Student should not cause any damage to the institute’s property. If found doing so, he/she will be
fined for the same.

9. Participants will be responsible for any damage or loss of their belongings. College will not be
held responsible for the same.

10. Organizers reserve the rights to change/cancel the schedule/event, if required depending upon the
circumstances.

11. Multiple Teams can participate in all events. Further Rules for all events will be explained on the
day of event.
12. Electronic gadgets or mobile phones are prohibited during the game.

13. One student can participate only in one event.


Competition Details:

1) Pixel : Spot Photography:-

 About Competition:-
PIXEL is an on the spot photography competition where you will be free to capture
anything you like on given topic, show us how it’s unique. Not only the picture, but also the
creativity of capture.

 Rules And Regulations:-


1) It is an individual competition.
2) The participant will have to submit his/her best 5 pictures within 1 hour on our mail.
3) Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
4) Only 2 participants allowed per college.
5) The participants have to take the picture within the pre-defined area.
6) The participants will have to report picture details (place taken, resolution etc.). No editing is
allowed.
2.Mystery Explorer: Book Review
“Create, Explore & Illuminate.”

Team: Individual participation. Per college 2 participants are allowed.


1. Student can select Book from the following theme:
Auto-Biography
Indian Culture
Digitalisation
Time Management
Leadership
Motivational
2. Student has to present review of selected book within 7 minutes.
3. Student has to bring one copy of book compulsory at the time of competition.
4. A student can select book of Gujarati, Hindi or English language.

3.Escape The Campus:-

 About Competition:-
Escape the campus is the Game in which participants have to solve the clues and
To get another clue they have to perform the task and when they get the clue they have to
return to the starting point and for ex, if there is 10 teams, the first 9 who are reporting first
they are going to find the second clue, the last team will be going to be eliminated. And the
last clue will leads team to get the key which is the key of the lock which is on the gate of the
campus.

 Rules And Regulations:-

1) Each team have minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants.


2) In case of higher number of teams the team will be selected on the basis of
elimination round
3) All the participants must stay together at all time and they should not allow to
spilt up to divide work.
4) The host college will not going to participate in the event to maintain
transparency.
1. Ludo: The Quiz
“Grow if you know”

Team: One team will consist of 4 students. Per college 2 teams are allowed.
 There will be various rounds like questionnaire round, audio round and visual round. Each
round will have elimination.
 The Quiz would be based on General Knowledge of different areas.

 Further rules & regulation will be declared on the spot.

2. Clash of Clans: Management Skill
“Think Deep, Think Different.”

Team: One team will consist of 2 Students. Per college 2 teams are allowed.
Clash of Clansis a Management Skill Game; Participants have to showcase their Management
skills, Coordination skills, Observation skills etc.
Team: One team will consist of 2 students. Per college 2 teams are allowed.
 Management skills would be based on various rounds like Identification Round, Memory
Round and Observation Round.

3. Ad. Club: A Club of Advertisement Creativity
“Where creativity meets madness”

Team: One team will consist of 5-6 students.Per college 2 teams are allowed.
 Participants have to prepare an Advertisement on the spot. (product / service will be given on
the spot and preparation time will be provided to students)
 Participants will have to show their creativity in 3 rounds
o Round 1: They have to perform Advertisement in given time it will be based on
Audio and Visual Act. (Maximum 2 Minutes)
o Round 2: Only Audio (For Radio)(Maximum 2 Minutes)
o Round 3: Judge Round, Any One Participant need to Convince the Judge to Purchase
the Product (Within 1 minute)
 The Advertisement should be creative and not existing in any present media.
 Decency should be maintained in Audio and Visual Act.
 Argument with judge will not be entertained.
 Participants have to bring their own materials for preparation of Advertisement if required,
such as sketchpens, pencil, eraser etc. (chart paper will be provided by organising college)

4. Trademind: Dalal Street


“You take the credit, we process the debit”

Team: One team will consist of 2 Students. Per college 2 teams are allowed.
India being a developing country in every sense wants sensible portfolio managers. Trademind
gives platform to show the guts of taking risk and performing high in stock market.
 Each team will be provided with Minimum Balance of RS.2 lakh (virtual)
 Prices of shares will be decided on the basis of Micro and Macro Factors.
 There will be 10* companies listed on the exchange. (*NO. of companies may be changed.)
 Share price of each company will be announced at the time of pre-opening session.
 Each team will be provided with buying selling statement.
 Every student should bring their calculator.
 The team with highest balance will be declared as winner.
