Competition Rules

1. THE VOICE VICTORY

SOLO SINGING:

Round 1: Preliminary Online Round

● This will be an online round.
● Participants need to send a video/audio of his/her performance.
○ It should not include any pre-recorded, acoustic or supporting background music.
○ Only the Use of musical instruments is allowed & should be played by the
participant himself/herself.
● The Shortlisted participants will be called for an on-campus round

Time limit
2 minutes

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted participants from Round 01 need to
be present in the campus.
● Participants will have to perform in front of judges and the audience.
● Results will be declared on the same day

Time Limit
4 minutes

Rules and Regulations

● There is no restriction on genre and language.
● Participants can use any musical instrument of their choice. Instruments should be
played by the participant himself.
● Instruments have to be carried by the participant himself and the RUSH team will not be
responsible for making any such arrangement.
● The decision of the judges will be final & binding.

2. ROCK OFF
BATTLE OF BANDS:

Round 1: Preliminary Online Round

● This will be an online round.
● The band needs to send a video/audio of their performance.
○ It should not include any pre-recorded, acoustic or supporting background music.
○ Only the use of musical instruments is allowed & should be played by the band
itself.
● The Shortlisted bands will be called for an in-campus round

Time limit - 5 minutes

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted bands from Round 01 needs to be
present on the campus.
● The bands will have to perform in front of judges and the audience.
● Results will be declared on the same day

Time Limit
10 minutes

Rules and Regulations

● There is no restriction on genre and language.
● The band can use any musical instrument of their choice.
● Instruments required have to be carried by the band itself and the RUSH team will not
be responsible for making any such arrangement.
● The decision of the judges will be final & binding.

3. THE PICTURE PALOOZA
PHOTOGRAPHY:

Round 1: Campus Round

● This will be an offline (campus) round.
● The participants will have to submit a portfolio of a photo story consisting of at least six
and up to ten photographs taken during the fest portraying a story of the given theme.
● The participants have to carry their own cameras.

Rules and Regulations

● The photography should be original work. The submitted photograph should contain all
EXIF details.
● Any photo found not adhering to this rule is subject to disqualification.
● The photograph can be clicked on any camera (DSLR/phone camera/digital camera).
Basic editing, including color enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s)
is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and genuineness of
the photo(s)

4. THE STREET SHOWDOWN
NUKKAD NATAK/STREET PLAY:

Round 1: Preliminary Online Round

● This round will be online in the form of a script.
● The selection will be based on the script and synopsis submitted by the team.
● Shortlisted participants will be called for the in-campus round.

Time limit: 10 minutes

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted participants from Round 01 needs to
be present on the campus.
● Participants have to perform in front of judges and the audience.
● Results will be declared on the same day.

Time limit: 20-30 minutes

Rules and Regulations:

● The performance can be an original or an adaptation.
● The team can consist of 10 to 15 members.
● One person cannot participate as part of more than one team in the event.
● Teams can use English/Hindi/both as the language(s) of their play.
● Backstage voiceovers and narrations are allowed.
● Teams using any props/costumes/dressing must bring all their requirements and must be
ready well in time as per instructions of the organizer - No props or costumes or any
material will be provided by the host college
● Mics/ microphones/ speakers will not be allowed during the play. However, teams are
allowed to use musical props such as Dholak, Flute, or any other musical instrument of
their choice

5. TRANSFORMATIVE TAPS
SOLO DANCE:

● The submission should be made in the form of a video.
● There can be multiple participants from a single college.

Time limit - 3 minutes

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted participants from Round 01 needs to
be present on the campus.
● Participants will have to perform in front of judges and the audience.
● Results will be declared on the same day.
● Tracks for the performances should be brought in a pen drive on the event day

Time limit - 5 minutes

Rules and Regulations

● There is no restriction on genre and language.
● Participants can use a prop of their choice, and the same has to be carried by the
participant himself. The RUSH team will not be responsible for any such arrangement.
● The decision of the judges will be final & binding.

6. FLUTTER FRENZY
GROUP DANCE:

Round 1: Preliminary Online Round

● This will be an online round
● The submission should be made in the form of a video.
● There can be multiple groups participating from a single college.

Time limit - 5 minutes

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted groups from Round 01 needs to be
present on the campus.
● Groups will have to perform in front of judges and the audience.
● Results will be declared on the same day.
● Tracks for the performances should be brought in a pen drive on the event day

Time limit - 10 minutes

● A group can have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members
● There is no restriction on genre and language.
● A group can use a prop of their choice and the same has to be carried by the group
itself. The RUSH team will not be responsible for any such arrangement.

7. FLY ON THE RUNWAY
FASHION SHOW:

Round 1: Preliminary Online Round

● This will be an online round
● The submission should be made in the form of a photograph in their preferred outfit,
either traditional or western.
● The participants will be judged on costumes, theme ideation, and attitude.
● There can be multiple participants from a single college.

Round 2: Campus Round

● This will be a campus round and all the shortlisted participants from Round 01 needs to
be present on the campus.
● The outfits will be made available by the team of RUSH.
● The shortlisted participants will have to walk the ramp in front of the judges and the
audience.

Rules and Regulations:

● It is a solo-participant competition.
● Vulgarity is strongly prohibited. Any form of obscenity will lead to debarring the team
from the contest.
● The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

8. THE BRUSHSTROKE BATTLE
THE COMICATHON - HYBRID MODE

Ever wanted to create your version of your favorite comic and bring them into the world? If yes,
this event is an opportunity to channel the art you showcase your favorite comic character in
your way. Feel free to use any form of creativity from the competition’s genre.

Round 01: Preliminary Online Round

● This will be an online round
● A participant needs to submit his previous work of art.
● It's an Individual round and a participant can send only one entry.
● There can be multiple participants from a single college.

Round 02: Hybrid Mode

● It will be in hybrid mode - the shortlisted students will have the freedom to participate
online or offline at their convenience.
● The competition will be for 4 hours.
● A participant can send one entry only.

Rules and Regulations:

● Plagiarism or any explicit content in the material shall not be entertained, and the
participant will be disqualified
● Any medium of art can be used for the event (sketches, paintings, etc,)
