Mechanics of MEU Pre-Foundation Day Activities

Dance Contest

1. Open to all bonafide MCWD Employees.


2. Participants must submit an entry form (filled out and signed) to Lucerne “Ne-ne” Quiachon. Deadline of
submission of entry forms: July 1, 2023
3. The required number of valid entries should be at least 3. Should the number of entries fall under 3 entries,
the activity is deemed for cancellation and the allotted budget be returned to MEU.
4. Competition date, time and venue: July 7, 2023 2:30PM at MCWD Social Hall
5. All entries should have at least 7 and a maximum of 15 members.
6. All entries should compose members of at least 3/5 MEU Members and 2/5 non-MEU members.
7. The duration of the dance should not be less than 3 minutes and not more than 5 minutes.
8. Each GROUP should submit their dance music in digital form and in good quality two days before the
competition for audio review.
9. Vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are strictly NOT allowed.
10. Each group is allowed to use props and other appropriate materials in their dance except fire, water,
flammable and fragile materials, such as bottles and glasses.
11. The competition music must not contain inappropriate, libellous, or any offensive language.
12. MEU assumes that all members of the participating group or team are in good health and physically fit for
the competition. MEU is not responsible for any injury, property loss, and possible potential cause to future
health issues.
13. Any violation of the above rules and mechanics of the completion will lead to predetermined point
deductions from each judge’s score sheet.
14. The judges’ decisions are final and irrevocable.
15. Announcement and awarding of winners will be on July 15, 2023, at the venue of MEU Family/Foundation
Day Celebration.

Criteria

● Choreography (formations, combination of movements, and variations) 40%

● Deportment (mastery, timing, coordination, and discipline) 30%

● Performance (grace, skills, and difficulty of steps) 20%

● Entertainment value (costumes, props, scenery, and audience impact) 10%

● Total 100%

MCWD Singing Idol

1. Open to all bonafide and active MCWD Employees


2. Participants must submit an entry form (filled out and signed) to Lucerne “Ne-ne” Quiachon. Deadline of
submission of entry forms: July 1, 2023
3. Competition date, time and venue: July 7, 2023 2:30PM at MCWD Social Hall
4. The required number of valid entries should be at least five (5). Should the number of entries fall under five
(5) entries, the activity is deemed for cancellation and the allotted budget be returned to MEU.
5. The participant should submit TWO MINUS-ONE song pieces of his/her choice in digital form and in good
quality two days before the competition for audio review.
6. In case of similar song or music upon submissions, the first contestant to submit (as required in Item 4) will
be given the opportunity to use and sing the preselected song.
7. The participant should be able to sing and finish the whole duration of the song.
8. The participants will sing their first song for the elimination round. The three that garner the highest score
will be admitted to the finals and sing their second song.
9. Any violation of the above rules and mechanics of the completion will lead to predetermined point
deductions from each judges’ score sheet.
10. The verdict of the board of judges or jury is final and irrevocable.
11. Announcement and awarding of winners will be on July 15, 2023, at the venue of MEU Family/Foundation
Day Celebration.

Criteria:

● Voice Quality (vocal intonation and projection, accuracy of pitch, tone color) 50%
● Diction (color of vowels, proper emphasis of accent on the words) 15%
● Timing (softness and loudness, rhythm) 20%
● Interpretation and Stage Presence (facial expression, proper focus) 15%
● Total 100%

Mechanics of MEU Pre-Foundation Day Activities

Photography Contest

Rules/Mechanics:

1. Purpose of the contest: For future needed art designs.


2. The contest is open to amateur and professional artists who are bonafide employees of the MCWD. No
participation fee required. Participants who submitted the registration forms can join the on-the-spot
painting contest.
3. Participants must submit an entry form (filled out and signed) to Danielle Therese Templado. Deadline of
submission of entry forms: July 1, 2023.
4. The required number of valid entries should be at least 5. Should the number of entries fall under 5 entries,
the activity is deemed for cancellation and the allotted budget be returned to MEU.
5. The contest starts on July 3, 2023 (Monday).
6. Entry pieces must illustrate an artistic interpretation of the theme of the upcoming MEU Foundation Day.
7. All entries should also present the title of their photo with a short caption separately.
8. Only one (1) entry is allowed for each participant.
9. Specifications:
a. Only photos taken by smartphones and digital cameras are allowed. Landscape or Portrait.
b. Include the photo’s metadata (ISO, Aperture Value and Shutter Speed)
c. JPEG/PNG format with at least 300 dpi
d. Produce a printed copy in A3 size photo paper for judging.
10. Photos must be original and contents should not be copyrighted. Any situation that may arise pertaining to
copyright infringement, the contestant should be held accountable.
11. The digital file copy of the photo should be submitted with a file name “SURNAME_PHOTO TITLE” along with
the printed A3 size photo.
12. The participants shall be the one to provide their own camera and equipment appropriate for the medium
they use.
13. Entries should not have been awarded in any other photo contest or commercially published in news,
advertising and print.
14. All winning entries will be owned by the MEU and shall be considered as an exclusive property. MEU should
reserve all the rights of the photograph and the contestant.
15. Deadline of submission of entries is on July 12, 2023 at the MEU office. Entries submitted beyond the
deadline shall not be accepted.
16. Judging of entries is on July 13, 2023.

Criteria:
● Relevance to the Theme (Development of theme through creativity/interpretation and the clarity of the
theme) 40%
● Originality (Uniqueness of the idea) 20%
● Quality of Work (Quality of artistic composition and overall design) 20%
● Message (The art clearly describes the artist’s message/intent) 20%

Painting on Canvas and Sketching Contest

Rules/Mechanics:

1. Purpose of the contest:For future MEU needed art design.


2. The contest is open to amateur and professional artists who are bonafide employees of the MCWD. No

painting contest.

a. Minimum Size: 40cm x 60cm or 2,400cm 2 (1.5ft x 2ft) stretched canvas or sketch paper. The blank
canvas or sketch paper should be presented to the committee for marking at the back.
b. Medium allowed: Oil or Acrylic paint for canvas or any medium for sketching.
10. Participants will be given a week to complete their artwork. The artwork must be done at the designated
area at the MCWD office within the allotted time.
11. The participants will be provided 3 hours of their work time. (Upon approval of the administration)
12. The participants shall be the ones to provide their own art materials appropriate for the medium that they
will use.
13. Contestants must declare that his/her entry to the completion of his/her original work and thus the artwork
has not been used or submitted to any other competitions.
14. Contestants must declare that his/her entry does not infringe any 3rd party copyright. Any situation that
may arise pertaining to copyright infringement, the contestant should be held accountable.
15. All winning entries will be owned by the MEU and shall be considered as an exclusive property. MEU should
reserve all the rights of the photograph and the contestant.

Raffle Ticket
1. Raffle Objective: The raffle aims to raise funds to support the MEU pre-Foundation / Family Day various
activities.
2. Ticket selling is open to all.
3. The ticket shall only be sold by an MEU member.
4. The ticket price is at P100.00 each.
5. Ticket selling period starts from May 10 up to 10:00 am of July 15, 2023.
6. Tickets will be sold on a first-come first served basis until all tickets are sold out or the sales period ends.
7. Each raffle ticket has a unique raffle ticket number.
8. Terms and Condition:
a. Ticket buyers must fill-in and provide accurate information as required
b. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
c. Tickets are non-forfeitable.
d. Winners will be chosen through a random draw.
e. The committee conducting the raffle reserves the right to disqualify any participant who or ticket
that violates the terms and conditions stated hereto or engages in fraudulent activities against this
particular raffle draw.
9. Drawing and winner announcement:
a. The draw will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
b. The winner’s ticket number will be drawn and announced starting on July 15, 2023 11:00 AM until
5:00 PM at The Beach Park - Hadsan, LLC
c. The raffle draw will commence with the announcement of the minor prizes, followed by the major
prizes. Please note that once a ticket has been called and declared a winner in any particular draw, it
will be ineligible to win any other subsequent draws.
d. Winners shall be posted on the bulletin board.
e. The winner will have until August 15, 2023 5:00 PM to claim the prize at the MEU office.
f. Failure to claim the prize within the specified period will result in the winning ticket being
invalidated and the prize money be brought to MEU.
10. Use of proceeds: All proceeds from the raffle tickets sales will go directly to MEU to support MEU Pre- and
Foundation Day Activities.
