TEZPUR UNIVERSITY
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Registration of the participant should be completed prior to the event. Registration
forms will be available on the University webpage; hard copies will be available in the
hostels.Registration forms should be submitted to the office of the DSW.
2. Participants should be bonafide students of the University (not from the Centre for
Open and Distance Learning) and should not be under any disciplinary probation.
3. No hired accompanist is permitted for group events.
4. Vulgarity and obscenity in any form is highly discouraged.
5. The decision of the judges will be final.
The participants need to adhere to the timings and themes provided by the organizer.
Decency in attire and behavior should be maintained.
Each group needs to contain minimum of 4/3 participants i.e., 2 model,1 designer, and 1
makeup artist (optional), wherein the designer/ model would be required to explain their
outfit on stage).
The maximum number of groups representing the clubbed hostels is limited to three
groups.
The participants will be judged based on utility and uniqueness of the attire and stage
representation.
Roughly 70% of the materials that will be used for the outfit should be recycled or reused
products.
In any case the use of unfair means will not be tolerated, and the participants will be
disqualified.
Registration should be done by 3:00 PM on 16-02-2024.
The decision of the judges will be final.
The dance should be creative and not Classical or Folk. It should tell a story of a selected theme or
era.
Three copies of a brief note giving the theme should be submitted along with the entry form at
the time of registration.
The dance should incorporate novelty movements.
The song on which the dance will be performed can be of any language.
Participants should wear proper dress and make-up.
Duration of the performance should not exceed 5 minutes.
Participants can perform on track.
The performance will be judged based on creativity, rhythm, gestures, expression, and
overall presentation.
Technical skills will be credited towards degree of difficulty.
Props are highly recommended. Prop setting should not take longer than 2 minutes.
Extra time taken to set up props shall be deducted from the overall performance time.
Props can be wearable, handheld, or standing but not damaging the stage.
Failing to clear the props from the stage will result in disqualification.
Registration should be done by 10:00 PM on 16-02-2024.
The decision of the judges will be final.
