EMBELLISH
Domain head:

Participation Per Class : 2 submissions

Deadline for submission: 6th April, 8:00pm.

Description : Participants have to make a product’s commercial reel of (25-45 secs).


Participants have to submit another video of Behind the Scenes. The Behind the
Scenes video should have the participant capturing the making of the commercial reel
(minimum 30 secs) with the setup.

Rules :
1. Readymade templates are not allowed, all the clips used in the reel should be
captured.
2. If using, only the hand of the participant is allowed to be visible in the reel, no
other part of the body.
3. Any non-vulgar song allowed.
4. Use of props(eg. Water, light, objects) allowed.
5. Reels should be only based on products(McD, Beverage companies) and not on
services(zomato).
6. Participation points will only be given if submitted within the given
deadline. No late submissions will be considered.
7. Participants have to post their commercial reel on their respective class
Instagram accounts and upload the BTS and commercial reel on Google Drive
and mail the GDrive link to studentscouncilcrce21@gmail.com within the given
deadline.
8. Editing of the reel is allowed.
9. The decision of judges will be the final one and binding.
10. The judging points will be given on the basis of commercial reel.
11. In case of any implications, the decision taken by the Students’ Council and the
faculty will be final and binding.

Judging Criteria :
● Presentation and style
● The story telling impact
● Creativity
● Views of color and sound

The commercial reel will only be considered for judging if the Behind the Scenes video
is genuine.
In case of a Tie-Breaker, Judging criteria will be prioritized as per the above sequence.
SERAPHIC

Participation Per Class : 1 team per class, 5 students per team.

Description : Participants will be given a list of items and places. They get 12 mins to
collect them all and guess the place. They have to click a photograph of all the objects
in a single frame including the place. Within the 12 mins they have to upload the
photograph on the submission link.

Rules :
1. The timer will start as soon as the objects list is out.
2. Filter editing of the clicked picture is allowed.
3. Photoshop will result in disqualification.
4. No extra time will be provided to any participant under any circumstances.
5. The decision of judges will be the final one and binding.
6. Certain rules will be told by the domain head on the spot.
7. Participation points will be given if any 1 object is visible from the list in
the photograph submitted within the specified time.
8. In case of any implications, the decision taken by the Students’ Council and the
faculty will be final and binding.

● Presentation and style
● No. of objects in the photograph.
● Composition and light
● Creativity
● Visibility of the assigned objects

In case of a Tie-Breaker, Judging criteria will be prioritized as per the above sequence.
DEVIL’S ADVOCATE
Domain Head:

Participation per class: 2 participants (maximum)

Description:Participants will have to pick at random a controversial topic and will have
a minute to prepare about why they think that event / idea is justified and why they
support it. The participants have 3 minutes to convince the panel of judges.

Rules:
1. The participants will have to, on the spot, pick a paper at random, which will
contain a controversial event / topic.
For eg. The attacks on 9/11 were deserved by America
2. The participants will get 60 seconds to prepare about why they support the given
topic.
3. After the 60 seconds, the participant will have to start their statements by “I
personally do not support this, but if I were the Devil’s Advocate then…”
followed by their explanation of why they support that topic.
4. Participants will have 3 minutes to speak about their given topic.
5. The language for communication is strictly English
6. Momentary pauses, repetition of a word too many times will lead to deduction of
points.
7. Deviation from the English language and its grammar will lead to deduction of
points.
8. Explicit content will not be permitted.
9. Not adhering to the time limit will lead to negative marking.
10. The participant will be judged based on fluency of language, speaking style and
coherence.
11. Use of slang is not allowed.
12. In case of any implications, the decision taken by the Students’ Council and the
faculty will be final and binding.

● Reasons given to support viewpoint
● Organization and Lucidity of statements
