Health and Wellness
COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 3-week course will cover all things health and wellness. It will cover 3 core competencies
of vitamins and minerals, nutrition, and stress management. Each week will build up your
understanding of a well-rounded healthy individual. This class aims to inspire you to identify
your own areas of improvement to help you improve the quality of your life and others.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

WEEK 1: Vitamins, Herbs, and Nutrition.


Highlight vitamins, their benefits, types, and recommended daily value per person.
Learn about and identify healing herbs. Using the USDA guidelines to understand your
dietary needs to live a healthy lifestyle.

WEEK 2: Complementary and Integrative Medicine


This week we will cover the importance of complementary and integrative medicine.
The main focus will be on physical activity such as yoga, exercise, and daily movement
goals.

WEEK 3: Stress Management


We will identify the different ways stress shows up in the body, how to mitigate it, and
every day practices you can do to manage stress. The course will cover meditation,
breath work, and journaling.

COURSE MATERIALS
For this course you will need a notebook and pencil. Digital note taking is allowed but not
preferred.
