INTRODUCTION

• Health is all encompassing. Some of the main indicators of

a person’s health are their nutrition and level of daily
activity. This can also be known as eating and exercise
habits. Maintaining one’s health is important for living a
long life with minimal pain and illness. It can also be
looked at as part of preventative medicine. The more we
take care of our inner health, the easier it will be to identify
imbalances in the body faster and therefore having higher
chances of survivability and vitality.

EXERCISE

• Can be defined as movement in the bod caused by

force
• There are three types of exercise which are
aerobic, anaerobic, and agility (Felman, 2019)
• Aerobic exercise improves the use of oxygen in
the body. Some examples would include any type
of cardio training that take place over an extended
period. (Felman, 2019)
• Anaerobic exercise is mostly used to increase
strength and building muscle. Some examples
may include weightlifting, sprinting, and Hight
Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). (Felman, 2019)
• Lastly, agility training is used to improve one's
coordination, speed, and balance. Some examples
of this type of exercise are sports, yoga, and
stretching. (Felman, 2019)

NUTRITION

• Comprised of a person’s daily food choices

• The food we eat directly affects how we look, feel, and act
• All food is made up of energy also known as calories and macronutrients
• Calories indicate how much energy in the form of a number does a food
hold.
• Macronutrients indicate what food group they belong to. There are 3
main food groups which are comprised of Carbs, Fats, and Proteins.
(Newman, 2020)
• It is important to maintain a well-rounded diet of home-made carbs, fats,
and proteins to maintain optimal physical and mental health.
