Casey Ligon This 3-day course is designed to improve your knowledge on key concepts of health
and wellness topics. This course will emphasize how overall health and wellness can
be achieved by practicing a balance of all three key concepts. Students will learn
about important topics of nutrition, complementary and integrative medicines, and
benefits behind physical activity. Once completed, students will have a better
understanding of how these three topics when balanced together can enhance an
individual’s overall health within their mind, body, and spirit.

Course Schedule
Day 1: Nutrition
Course Attendance
This Health and Wellness course will take place over a 3-day period and will be held virtually through
Microsoft PowerPoint.
Each class will be 90 minutes in length
Activities
Each day students will engage in activities to apply their knowledge on topics discussed
Day 1 Activity: Creating a sample 1-day meal plan that meets the daily requirements for vitamins and
minerals
Day 2 Activity: Participating in a Mindful Yoga practice and writing a reflection
Day 3 Activity: Writing out SMART goals in relation to physical activity
