    Instructions
    A: This assignment is part of your final assessment in this course. Discusses it in groups but
    report it in a group of 3-4 students ONLY considering gender ratio.

    B: Submission of this assignment (hand written) will be 3rd week of semester II during your lab
    session. Pre-requisite for submission is evidence of attending an introductory laboratory session
    based on this assignment during 2nd week of the semester II.

    1. (a) What is spectro-chemical series? (b) Identify low and high spin ligands in the spectro-
    chemical series (c) What are paramagnetic and diamagnetic complex compounds, give examples

    2. With examples, explain the meaning of quantitative and qualitative data, primary and secondary
    data
    3. With examples, briefly explain all types of geometry in complex compounds such as linear,
    square planar, tetrahedral geometry etc
    4. Briefly explain the coordination theories
