Pre-School Teacher Job Description

Overview:
By completing the following responsibilities, you will be responsible for creating and implementing
daily classroom lesson plans as well as ensuring the safety of children in the preschool classroom.

The Perfect Candidate will be able to:

• Creates and produces lesson plans on a monthly basis, and submits them in
compliance with administrative rules.
• Oversees and encourages the overall safety of the classroom environment and
activities, including outside play.
• Play, music, arts & crafts, reading, writing, science, and physical activities are some
of the ways she interacts with children.
• Prepares comprehensive evaluations for youngsters on a yearly or as-required basis.
• Maintains a healthy interpersonal interaction with all children, fellow employees,
and parents/guardians.
• Assist with the daily supervision of Volunteers, Room Assistants, and Room Aides.
• If needed, performs general classroom cleaning responsibilities.
• Further related responsibilities may be assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Have a great desire to make a difference in the lives of children and work to see
them grow/develop.
• Complete the Assistant and Lead Teacher courses.
• Hold a 4-year degree in Teaching or Early Childhood with a two-year minimum.
• Have prior experience in early childhood or education.
