Introduccion:
Neptune is the eighth planet in the
solar system and the farthest from
the sun. It is part of the so-called
outer planets, and within these, it is
one of the ice giants.
How did Neptune get its name:
It was his color that was used to
name it after the Roman god of the
sea. The Greeks called their god of
the sea, Poseidon.
Statistics:
Distance from the sun: 4.498.116.480 km

Rings: 5

Radius: 24,622 km

Mass: 1,024 × 10^26 kg

Moons: 14 including Triton

Date of discovery: Sep. 23 1846 by Urbain
