2. Describe the new artwork based on the previous artwork.

3. Compare the two. What qualities of contemporary art are manifested in the new artwork?

Answers:

“The Guardian”

1. Art from the past holds clues to life in the past. By looking at a work of art's symbolism, colors,

and materials, we can learn about the culture that produced it. ... By analyzing artworks from the
past and looking at their details, we can rewind time and experience what a time period different

from our own was like.

2. The new artwork is more beautiful than the previous artwork because todays artwork has more

experiences and materials to use. It has more details and could easily understand the artwork’s

meaning.

3. While modern art is more recent than the Renaissance or classical art periods, it is by no means

current. Contemporary art describes current works of art. Usually, those still living and creating

artworks or those who have only very recently died or retired. Modern art is primarily drawing or

painting.
